BeBe is a special baby. He is such a happy boy and loves to play, loves people, other dogs and, did I mention playing? Life sometimes takes unusual turns in the lives of humans and this is true for dogs as well. BeBe, by no fault of his own, is once again interviewing families to share the rest of his life. He is asking for a loving family who will let him sleep with them, cuddle on the Laz-a-Boy to watch television, play in the yard, and maybe an older boy or girl to share special moments only dogs and children understand. He is crate trained, housetrained, great with all strangers and children. Oh yeah, and loves to play! (smile) BeBe has a tiny bit of scarring to a small portion of his back from a burn a few years ago, but it's hardly noticable.

KiKi is cool. We would be surprised if you ever find a more refined five pounds of MinPin. KiKi is a lady's lady. She is slim (could even gain a pound or so), and good looking with a beautiful red coat. She's nine and not "into everything, running though the house on a MinPin search-and-destroy-mission" stage of her life. She would much rather sit with you and share the events of the day. In fact, she will cuddle up without the slightest hesitation. This great dog has many years to warm your lap and your heart. She will surely be in high demand so hurry, but be cool about it. After all, KiKi is.
UPDATE 7/26: UPDATE on Miss Kiki! She's turned into an absolutely gorgeous minpin! Her foster mom has taken wonderful care of her and she is the perfect weight at 8lbs.
She gets along with just about every human and other canine friends. She loves to go outside and play, loves toys, and according to her foster mom, is the head of the household! She loves to sleep on the sofa and she doesn't mind the crate. We're very proud of Miss Kiki and the way she's been able to adjust to a loving foster home. Remember, Kiki was given up by her original owner after 9 years because he was moving and wouldn't take her. He dumped her at a kill shelter! We still shake our heads every time this happens. So if you're looking for a lap buddy with a little bit of an attitude, she's the beauty for you! Won't you please adopt Miss Kiki and give her the chance to be loved in her new forever home?

One of the most beautiful boys on our website right now we want to introduce to everyone Bear. He is a sweet natured MinPin that is housebroken and enjoys cuddling and playtime. Bear is a timid little boy that will be a wonderful addition to your household. It will take a little time for him to warm up to new people and new surroundings but once that happens, he's all yours and you won't be able to keep him out from your lap. Bear is not good with children but would love another small canine friend to share his playtime with when he is not grabbing lap time from his favorite humans. Max: 4 yr old black & tan male, docked tail and uncropped ears. 8", 7 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Introducing Max, one of the cutest boys around these parts. Max is a four-year-old that lived in a breeding program most of his life. He has moved in with his new family but is struggling to learn to be a care-free MinPin. His new family has a human toddler and Max and the toddler don't want to share Mommy; so Max has decided to look for a family where he can be an only child. Max wouldn't mind another canine friend in the house but requests no children. Max loves to nap rolled up in his favorite flannel sheet (which he will be bringing with him to his hew home) and to sleep with his family at the foot of the bed (of course rolled up in his favorite flannel sheet). Max also loves to cuddle with his mommy to watch T.V. and whoever he bonds with in the home, he will follow their every move and become their shadow. Max is learning the tricks to housetraining but, in the meantime, uses a pee pad. Max is not a vocal boy and hasn't learned the joys of playing with toys but with time and love he will settle into family life. He enjoys a walk (until his feet get cold then he begs to be held) and walks well on a harness rather than a collar. Max is a laid-back boy, doesn't chew things that are not his, and is simply asking for a mommy and daddy to love him and give him an opportunity to give the loyality, love and devotion MinPins are known to lavish on their owners.

Chaz is a happy dog and eager to please. He is very loving and likes attention. He is new to rescue and as I'm getting to know him, I really do like him. He crates himself when he wants to nap, walks great on a leash, loves to run and play. Gets along great with other animals, cats and dogs but does not like to share his food (who does?). He does great with kids but gets excited and jumps on them. The perfect home would be a loving family, large fenced yard and another dog as a playmate. Does this describe your home?

Shiloh: 3 yr old stag red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11", 12 lb. Owner give-up.
Shiloh is such a good looking fellow! He may take a day or two to get used to his new family but once he is comfortable you won't be able to stop smiling; mainly because he likes to smile. He wags his tale faster than any other dog and he shows his teeth like a big giant grin! It is so funny and it will make you laugh every time! Shiloh loves to cuddle and if you let him he will sleep with his head on your pillow. He is really good about getting in his own bed to sleep if you prefer. He is still not to sure about his crate but each time he gets in it is easier than the last time. Shiloh is potty trained but it is necessary to keep him on a good schedule. "I am Nugget and I started a journey a couple weeks back. It started with a car ride to a doggie hotel, then another car ride with lots of stops and people patting my head and saying how cute I am and finally I arrived at this doggie B&B where I will stay until I catch the next car ride that will take me to my final home - is that you?
I am a delightful and tiny bundle of happiness and I wiggle my entire back end to show my appreciation for any kindness shown me. I am a perfect baby getting along with all the other canine guests living with me in this doggy B&B, sleeping in my crate quietly, eating politely from my bowl, always leading my foster mom to the door when I need to commune with nature, walking on my leash for afternoon strolls and generally just being a good guest. I really want a home of my own where I can enjoy a family and give all I have to give to make someone happy. "I'm Jack, a male MinPin puppy in every sense of the word! My previous owner wasn't so good with remembering my birthday and said I was about 8 months old, but the vet thought I might be a month or two older. I say, who cares, I'm still just a baby and you can help me celebrate my first birthday! I have a wonderful personality. I am incredibly sweet, good-hearted, affectionate, cuddly, socialized.... and the best part, I can provide lots of entertainment as I can be quite goofy! (Remember when you were a baby, I'm sure you weren't too civilized either!) I am very smart though and would probably do really well with obedience training. I'm so eager to please that they tell me I am highly trainable. I've been working really hard on my house training and now that I'm neutered I'm pretty sure I'll master it quickly! I am pretty well-behaved when inside the house, although I sometimes I'll need reminders on manners! I'm learning though and like any good student, I try hard not to make the same mistakes twice. As a young puppy I need my daily exercise - a good walk/run and some playtime is a must to keep me happy. I know I will make a great family dog as I love children - they can play with my toys with me and even snuggle with me for kisses! I also get along great with other dogs, and I'm not too sure about cats (I've never even seen one!)! I would love an active family whose are looking for a constant companion who would show them all the affection they can handle and more! Could you be my forever family?"

Buddy: 2 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 12.5", 8 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Buddy is a typical young male MinPin who is full of athleticism,vigor and a level of self-confidence suggestive of a much larger dog. His confirmation is true to the breed standards. He is definitely enamoured with our female MinPins and his antics to get their attention are very entertaining and comical. He gets along well with our male MinPin. He also does well with our active 5 year old grandson. One of the things that truly distinguishes Buddy is his verbal skills. When he is pleased at the level of attention he is getting, he begins "talking". This unique method of communication is low and distinct and at first seems like growling....with a wagging tail. It is as if he is trying to speak in individual words and is quite expressive. This unique behavior is hard to describe and has to be witnessed to really understand it. We have begun to understand it as similar to a cat's purring; certainly different for a dog to express joy like this and brings a smile to our faces. Buddy needs a stable and loving environment to flourish. He is likely to be an excellent companion for an individual or family for many years.

BeBe: 10? yr old black & tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 6-7", 10.6lb. Shots up-to-date.
She's about ten years old according to my Vet's best guess. She has no teeth at all. She has two small tumors on her back, and a cataract on her right eye. I seriously doubt that she was ever a puppy-mill dog -- you can tell that someone loved her once. She's happy, she wags her tail a lot, and when I wake up in the morning she does a modified version of "the puppy-dance" at my feet. She'd make a perfect pet, in my opion, for an elderly couple. I've taken her to the nursing home a couple of times and the residents just love her!

Chico: 6 yr old red male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 12.5", 15 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Sturdy, steadfast and true - a sure-fire recipe for a great friend and that's Chico aka Otis! This poor little man has fallen on hard times, first ending up in a shelter in ID for reasons unknown, then being adopted by the wrong family who, 6 months later, unceremoniously dumped him in front of a closed shelter and drove off. Luckily, the shelter director was in when they called to tell someone about the dog they had left behind.
Chico, who we've started calling Otis as it seems to suit his calm nature far better, has been a true gentleman, but does not like to be handled roughly. We would not advise him for a family with small children as he would not understand their idea of play, so no one under 10 please. This smart boy knows some commands such as "sit" and "give me 5" but needs some training for "come" and "stay". He wants to please, but just isn't sure what is expected of him. He is not aggressive with other small dogs or with food. Cats & large dogs are still a question, but his shelter temperament test indicates that he'd do fine with a confident cat and other dogs. He loves to snuggle and will sit quietly next to you or on your lap as long as you are willing to sit with him. His natural tail is in constant motion, wagging gently almost all the time. And who can resist those natural ears?
If you are looking for a well-mannered companion, please consider Chico/Otis. He is house-broken, crate-trained and doesn't bark excessively. When he does bark, he sounds much bigger than his small size--a perfect watch dog. This gentleman stands 12½" tall and weighs in at 13 lbs -- not a big dog, but definitely not a wimp! This guy has the body of a weight lifter with sturdy legs, broad shoulders and lots of muscle. He walks well on a leash, loves to ride in a car. What more can could anyone want?

Minerva aka Minnie: 10 yr old black & rust female, soon to be spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 10½", 14 lb. Shots up-to-date. Found as a stray.
Minerva, also known as Minnie, was found half frozen to death and taken to a local shelter, where they saved her life. It's obvious she was used repeatedly for breeding, then discarded. Despite her tough past life, she is sweet and easy going. Minnie loves the foster family's 11 year old daughter, so kids over the age of 10 would be fine. She gets along with the cats in the home and the other dogs, as well. In fact, she LOVES to play, especially fetch with the resident Golden Retriever. Min Pins can live to be 20 yrs old sometimes, so this little lady has a lot of life left in her. She just needs someone to take her into their home and give her the love she deserves and let her be their loyal companion. Minnie's pictures don't do her justice, but she was very camera shy. She is to be spayed soon and when she has recovered, she will be ready for the next chapter in her life. Please email for more information if you'd like a sweet, loving girl to add to your family.

Jack: 1 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 16", 17.5 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Jack is a very loving and VERY active puppy (and should always be on a harness, as he can slip a collar quite easily). He would make a great walking/running companion, as his energy level seems to be bottomless. Cries at first in his crate, but settles down within a few minutes. Will cry to let you know he needs to potty. Will need a eye kept on in case of indoor accidents (foster mum has other dogs, so he tried marking a couple of times). He loves sitting on a cushion. He is quite the bouncer and full of curiosity. Must have a tall fenced yard and perhaps a screen door on the front door, as he will bolt out an open door. Jack is with us, as his previous owner moved out and left him with his roommates. He would do well in a single dog home, but would probably prefer a playmate.
**UPDATE: Jack has turned out to be deaf**, so will definitely need someone willing to take him for special training. He will never be able to go off-lease anywhere outside the home for his own safety.

"Hi! My name is Rocko and I'm a happy 2 year old boy looking for a family to call his own. I think I'm pretty handsome with my natural stand-up ears and my full tail, which is my barometer -- shows everyone how I'm feeling. I love athletics (I adore playing ball and I'm pretty good at bringing it back!) but I also enjoy a good snuggle on the couch. Laps are one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. I am smart, willing to learn new things, and, although, new people make me nervous at first, a few rounds of fetch will make me fast friends. I get along fine with other dogs, but I don't know about cats. Do you need a jogging partner? Or just a clown to make you smile? Pick me! I guarantee its hard to wear a frown when I'm around. Chloe is a Velcro baby and will stay close to her person. She will venture away now and again, but comes back to make sure you're still there. She is very cute and well behaved. She loves to snuggle. Chloe is slowly learning some manners and how to walk on a leash. She really had not been taught anything before. Because of this, obedience training will be required of the adopter. Chloe is crate trained.
Kojak and Chloe came into rescue together and were very bonded. Chloe, especially, seemed dependant on Kojak's presence. However, over the ensuing weeks, she has become more independent and the two have been separated. Kojak is now in another foster home. The ideal outcome would be that someone adopt both dogs together, but we are willing to place them separately.

Little Kojak is just the cutest, most adorable little guy. He loves to snuggle and be hugged, get belly rubs, and quickly grows attached to his people. He loves to play outside, so a securely fenced yard is a must. He is now mastering how to walk nicely on a leash and slowly learning the basics - sit, lie down, go potty. Obedience training will be required of his new owner. Kojak does well overnight in his crate, but he's also happy to snuggle up in your bed, too. He can be an assertive alpha dog, so he's best suited to a home with a well trained adult! He prefers women, as is common with a lot of Min Pins, but is getting used to a man's voice.
Kojak and Chloe came into rescue together and we would still like to see them placed together, but are willing to separate them. Kojak is the more independent of the two and is doing fine in his new foster home. He's basically turning into a "pocket dog" in that he loves to be carried around or sit on someone's lap.

Brach is a senior, (around 10 yr.), who doesn't know it! Brach came from a person
who kept 60 dogs in a shed. But I believe he must have been a "house" dog before. He loves
people and is good with other dogs. No cats. He can be a little "bossy" but he's not mean.
He likes sitting in your lap or laying on the floor, but he loves his blankie and covers
his self up totally! He's been with me since August. He has lost weight and toned up. He's
12 inches tall and 11 lbs. His sight isn't the best but he loves to play and lay in the
sun. The lump from his right shoulder goes away after he's up awhile (kinda like my back).
Brach is quiet and loving. He'll need help with housetraining; sometimes he forgets his
house manners. All in all, he is a love. Stand-up ears and docked tail, with the chocolate
color that he's named for. E-mail for more info.

Kate: Approx.13-14 yr old red/tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 12", 14lb. Shots up-to-date.
This is Kate. She is quite a girl. She may be older but has a whole lot of spunk! Kate gets along well with dogs, but is a bit curious with cats. She is a very sweet girl and loves people. Kate is tall with long legs and has a beautiful gait and is just an all around beautiful girl in general.
Kate doesn't especially like to be in a crate, but will go in if she is offered a treat. She would probably do best in a home with someone home for most of the day. Kate likes to sleep, especially in the sun. She is easy to care for and fairly laid back.

Cleo: 6 yr old red female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 10", 10 lb.
Cleo is a sweet girl who deserves more than the life that she has had for the past six years. She was rescued from a puppymill and THAT is no place for ANY dog!
Cleo's feet are splayed from living in a cage and walks a little like a duck. She was overweight, but has lost about 4 pounds since being in her foster home. She looks absolutely fabulous! Cleo will need to be kept on a light food and limited or low fat treats. She also has lost some teeth due to her past puppy mill life.
The expression in her face has changed from a look of loneliness to a look of happiness. You can tell the difference between her old lifestyle and her present lifestyle, just by looking at the glow in her eyes and her tail that is finally wagging.
Cleo would do best in a home with no big dogs and no male dogs. Cleo likes toys and has not shown any aggression at all. Cleo's favorite pastimes are walking outside in the grass and basking in the sun. She also likes to sleep in bed with a member of the family, rather than a crate, where she spent most of her life.
Cleo's dark, cold, lonely days are over and she's ready for a new beginning with a family to call her own. If you would like to give Cleo the home she deserves, please send an email to the address below.

Bunny: Approx 9-10 yr old black & tan female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. Shots up-to-date.
Bunny - Bunny Foo Foo ..... the honey...... the sweetie....... the darling......... the beauty...... the PRINCESS!! Well........... Bunny wants to be the princess and be the only dog in the home. She growls at the other dogs because she really doesn't like them. She is not so nice to cats, so no furry felines for Bunny!! On the other hand........or paw.........I should say......she is very sweet and loving. She loves to snuggle and cuddle, and also loves to nap on a sunny afternoon. Bunny will need to be the only dog in the home so she can get all the attention. The BEST part of this is, her family will receive all of her love and attention back!!
Bunny is food and treat aggressive because she thinks someone wants to steal her food, so she will need a home who will say "Hey!! I understand this issue and willing to work with her!" It may be that Bunny will not be allowed have chew treats, so that she is not put in the position to be food aggressive. There are ways to work with a food aggressive dog, and we can give some guidance to her new adoptive family. Bunny would do best in a home with a retired person and is by no means a meanie; she is very sweet when she can have one-on-one bonding time.

Lil'Joe AKA Joey: 6 years old, 9.5 lbs, cropped and docked, black and tan male shelter rescue.
Joey is missing an eye which appears to be from an old wound but has no problems with just one. He just looks like he is winking at you. Joey knows how to "sit" and will go to the "kennel" on command for a treat and is working on other basic commands as well. He is housebroken and will go to the door to let you know when he wants to go outside.
Joey really is a nice little guy once he has warmed up to you. Just like a typical pin he does snuggle under the blankets in your bed or in his crate. His new forever home must be an experienced dog owner, adult household and have a fenced in back yard. Joey is not best suited for an apartment or close living situations as he can be vocal at times. Joey would be okay with another small dog that is not alpha and he is good with cats. Some of Joey's favorite things are going for nice walks, lying in the sun, chewing on a bone and of course sitting next to his person at all available times. Joey is a fast learner and is very smart. With the right home and the right approach he will make someone an awesome dog. Are you his family that he has been waiting for?

Jeb: "Hi, my name is Jeb and I'm just a little guy... 9", approx. 8.5# (15# when taken to the shelter), b/t, docked and cropped, and 7 years old. I am also very special... you see, I am totally blind..... but do not let that fool you.... I am very alert, loving, active, and amazingly find my way around pretty quickly... My first day in my new home, I bumped my poor nose into everything several times, including the brick outside in the big fenced yard, but now my foster Mom just talks to me and I find my way back in the house. I love to sleep in the big bed with all the others here, staying right next to my foster Mom and not trying to climb out. I also will curl up with the other eight puppers in the house, and get along with everybody. I try to be a good boy and do my business outside, but my foster Mom says she nearly lost me today cause we had lots of snow and I got a little confused, so she had to come out and help me back inside. I also tried to explore that big yard and my foster Mom said it was WAY too cold for a little guy to explore, so I can't wait til spring......"
Foster Mom's note: Jeb was rescued and transported to my home by many, many wonderful volunteers who immediately fell for this little guy.... he was very ill when first taken into rescue, but is improving daily. He was also very overweight, and will still stand in front of the refrigerator when he hears the door open. The poor lady at the shelter was sporting bandaids on her fingers from picking Jeb up, but not one of us has had a problem with him.... we just talk to him prior to picking him up. This little lap warmer is incredibly sweet and loving, not a barker except for cause, gets along with 8 other puppers in the house, and follows me everywhere... his coat is finally glossy and soft, and the sores are healing(my vet thought he had been "chewed on")... Jeb will need a very special home that is willing to maintain a healthy weight, talk to him, and assist him to explore safely......

My name is Buddy! Me and JoJo (see him below) came in to rescue together, no fault of our own. We were with a family who was stricken with an unfortunate family situation, and then passed on to another family, who split up, and here we are again...... homeless. Not exactly homeless; we have a temporary home until a FOREVER home can be found for us. When we say F-O-R-E-V-E-R..... we mean FOR---EV---ER!!
You see, we are two and three years old and already looking for our third home. Although we deal with change very well, it's not something that we prefer to do. I mean really...... who would want to look for a home, over.... and over... and over.... again? We are your typical minpins and have all the antics and idiosyncrasies that most minpins have, so please do your homework and research our breed before you decide to adopt us. Just to give you a little idea..... we are everything that you will read about. We are assertive, outgoing, active and independent. JoJo is a little more active that I am. He is quite the "showboat". We are both fearless, full of vigor and think we are BIG! We are both very loving and affectionate and love to be on a lap. It doesn't even need to be a big lap...... just a lap. Two laps would be even better.... one for each of us! My foster mom thinks JoJo looks like a little miniature reindeer. I am a little overweight and will be working to get down to JoJo's little slim figure. We love to burrow under a nice soft blanket, so that is something that we have on our Christmas list from Santa. What a CUPID he is! Bailey was born on Valentine's Day in 1998. But don't let his age fool you. He is a quintessential MinPin. He has long legs, lots of energy, and loves to run and jump. He's very obedient, highly intelligent and learns commands easily. Bailey is brave and unafraid. He once barked at thunder in a storm; now he pays it no attention. He isn't, in any way, shy and quickly becomes any one's good friend. He gets along well with children and adults, as well as other dogs. In the evening, (or anytime you may be relaxing) he loves to sit on the couch with you and rest his head in your lap. He is VERY affectionate and gives up smooches easily. Bailey has lived most of his life in the city. During the last three years however, he has lived on a gentleman's farm in the country and loves to run and explore the outside. This little guy is looking for his forever home. He is good with other small dogs and cats. He would do best with older children. Spike is timid when he meets new people, but once he gets comfortable with you he is full of kisses and wants to be petted. He just needs someone to give him a chance to get to know him. Miller: 2 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 13", 11 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Miller is a very sweet dog who came to IMPS from an animal control facility, and we believe he may originated in a puppy mill (or at least some place where he was not exposed to many things). He is initially fearful (gives a little growl and backs up) when he encounters new things like dogs, people, vacuum cleaners, rolling luggage, etc. It really takes him just a couple of minutes of calm introduction to new things, however, before he becomes more comfortable and social. His current foster brother is doing his best to teach him to become a confidant Min Pin. Miller likes to wrestle with his foster brother and also steal his toys. His favorite toys are chew hooves and anything out of which he can pull the stuffing! He sleeps in the bed with his foster family at night, and tries to be in his foster parent's lap whenever possible and does like to give kisses. He is not completely housebroken, but is still learning and accidents are becoming much less-frequent. He is crated when his foster parent is away. Miller is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, licensed in the City of Chicago and comes with a year's supply of heartworm preventative.

"Hi my name is Dane. I'm a bigger pin, 12# and 13", b/t with a white chest and some white on my toes. I'm 5 years old, and very active. My ears stand straight up, and my tail is docked. I love to run, play, and cuddle, but can be a bit aggressive with my toys, as well as my food. I get along with the other six here without problems, and my foster Mom and I are working on my manners. I know my commands, but really do not like to sit for long or wait for my turn, but I'm doing much better. When I came to my foster Mom's house, I only weighed 9#, but I'm very healthy now with a beautiful coat. I'm a very good watch dog, and walk well on lead. I'm also crate trained and have my own crate. I do my business outside, but I really hate the cold!"

Reese is a sweet boy looking for his forever home. He is housebroken, knows a few commands such as sit, stay and down. He is crate-trained and will go in a crate on command; he is used to being in the crate during the day and to sleep at night. He has partial canine epilepsy but it is controlled with medication which isn't expensive and doesn't slow him down a bit! He likes other dogs and will tolerate cats, as long as they keep their distance from him.

Gilbert: 1 of 4 puppies born to a rescued IMPS dog in my care on 2-23-07.
He is now 13 months old, and vaccines are current for her age. Neutered and Micro chipped.
Gilbert's mom came into rescue as a stray so we are not sure who Gilbert's daddy is. He is 14" tall and weight around 30 lbs.
Gilbert is cute, fuzzy loves to have his hair brushed with a baby brush, very active, loves to play, loves to be held and cuddled. He is very smart, and potty trained. Will bark when he wants your attention. Crate trained. Loves chewing and playing with puppy toys. Gilbert is your typical puppy and can get into things if left unattended. He is great with other dogs and children. He is a bigger boy so he would not do well with really young children as he is still learning not to jump up on people.
He needs a fenced in yard, is very active and loves running around. Will go into crate with a treat stays dry all night, and will bark in the morning when he first wakes up to go 'potty now'.
Gilbert will make someone a fun, loving companion that is willing to give him a forever home.

"Good day, my name is Keno, and I am a gentleman. I love kids, curling up in blankets, anyone who lets me sleep next to them in our favorite chair, and my all time favorite is to sleep with everybody in the big warm bed. I'm housebroken, crate trained but don't need crated when my foster Mom is at work-I just curl up on the pet bed in the kitchen. I get along with the other eight here. I know how to bark, and am an excellent watch dog, but I only bark when needed and quit when asked. I'm completely healthy and up to date on all of my vetting. My foster Mom says I don't act like I am 10 years old, and that I'm very sweet and loving without any aggression whatsoever, and a very healthy eater. I love to run or find a sunny spot in the yard, but come immediately when called, even when that squirrel is taunting me....."

He found himself at a shelter after his owners dumped him, he was fighting for his life; when he was turned over to rescue he was sick and has now recovered 100% and doing great. He was so incredibly thin and now he has gained a few pounds and looks fantastic. Bibble is a sweet, laid back guy, but he is scared of new things and people; it will take a very patient and loving individual to warm over this boys heart! It is truly sad, we do not know what happened to him or what has made him so scared, but he is so deserving of a home that will only show him lots of love!
He is great with other dogs and would love a new friend to hang out with. He loves to lay in the sun in the backyard. He has done great with the housebreaking and will need to be kept on a cons istent schedule in his new home. He walks great on a lead and loves to take long walks. Nick: 8 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 17 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Nick is strikingly handsome. He is a very sweet and lovable little guy that is looking for a forever home. He loves to cuddle and be by his person all the time. He enjoys going for walks and sometimes tries to walk you in the process. He needs a home with adults, he does fine with children, but would do better in a home with just adults.
He really needs a home where someone isn't gone long hours. Nick tends to forget his house manners and has accidents. If someone were home during the day, this could easily be overcome with keeping Nick on a regular schedule, using a belly band and really just working with him. He has gotten better in his current home, but tends to forget sometimes. Nick does not like being crated, he will go in a crate, but he will mess in it because he doesn't like being in there. So with someone who is home most of the day, he will not need a crate. It would be great for Nick to have a home with a fenced yard, but it isn't a requirement to adopt him.

Fred: 4 mth old black & rust male, docked tail and uncropped ears. Shots current for age. Owner had accidental litter and could not keep all the puppies .
Fred is an adorable little guy -- with lots of attitude and character he's the King of all King of Toys. He's active, loves to play with toys, loves to cuddle. He's absolutely handsome and charming. Because he is a minpin with attitude. He will need to go to a home that has lots of patience and understanding as he is a puppy and puppies get into things, we are working on potty training with him so he does go outside frequently. We are working on crate training with him, this is still a work in progress. Fred would do well in a home that does not have very small children, fenced in yard where he can run and play and no big dogs as he does not handle being with big dogs. He would do well in a house, if you have a apartment, condo or town home he would disturb your neighbors with his crying until he gets settled into his crate. This beautiful girl is looking for a forever home. Her owners turned her over to a kill shelter when they could not care for her anymore; this girl deserves a second chance. Sasha is just gorgeous! She takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but how can you blame her after she was dumped. Once she knows you, she is just sweet and loves to cuddle by you. She does not like bigger dogs, but is great around smaller dogs. She is housebroken and needs to be kept on a consistent schedule. She would do better with older children.

Update on Sasha! Poor Sasha had a bad unexplained seizure a few days ago. She is alive, but has lost much of her motor skills and is possibly blind. She needs to see a neurologist to find out if she can be cured with medication. At 1½ years old, this is a terrible blow to both her foster parents, the people who were going to adopt her, and of course to Sasha, who only wants to be able to live a nice life.
Sasha is in ICU at an emergency facility right now, as she needs 24 hour care. Her bills are mounting and she is not close to being well yet!

I had to have a bunch of teeth pulled when I first came into rescue so now my tongue always hangs out just a little bit, but it just adds to my cute smile. My former owners had their baby granddaughter come to live with them and I guess I must have been a little jealous as my former mom said I was nippy around the baby. My foster mom said I was a real good boy when her 3, 6 and 9 year old grandsons were here for a week and I sure did like playing with them and getting treats. I am housebroken and like to go in my crate with a treat so the other dogs here don't try and steal it from me. My only bad habit is that until I get to know anyone I consider a stranger, I try to bite at their feet when they first come into my house. Rudy is a spunky little 10 yr old who has a cheery attitude & likes being around his people & snuggling under the blankets. Rudy's owner died suddenly & no one in the family could take him so he was rescued by the nice folks with IMPS. He does take a little while to get to know you but once he does he's definitely your best friends. For being 10 he has lots of energy, likes to play even playing tug with a favorite toy. He is protective of his food & water bowl. He gets along with other dogs & sometimes enjoys the companionship but getting all the attention would be great. Snoopy is a sweet little guy who loves to run & play as well as snuggle up close. This little guy does think he's the "big dog" & will act on this when bigger dogs are around. He will need to be supervised if he is around bigger dogs. Snoopy does tend to mark his territory so a belly band would be needed. Keeping him on a regular potty break with help decrease this behavior. Snoopy is looking for a home with maybe one or two other small dogs. He has recently lost his best fur friend to cancer so he will need lots of love.

Weezer came into this foster home very frightened around everyone. He adjusted real quick and has been such a sweetheart! He will follow everyone around everywhere and stay under you feet. Weezer will give lots of kisses and will lay on your chest if you are sitting down and he wants attention. He does tend to become protective and may occasionally nip and growl if he feels like himself or his person is being threatened. He is also known to dart out doors quickly. He listens to commands well.

AnaBella: 7 yr old red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12-13", 15.6 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
SPECIAL NEEDS DOG: AnaBella is a delightful, very intelligent dog who is completely blind from untreated dry eye. She originally came into rescue in 2003 and was partially blind, and has since lost her sight completely. She is back in rescue because her family moved and their apartment would not take dogs. It only took 3 days for her to completely learn her way around my one acre fenced in yard. She was housebroken using a doggy door in her former home, and needs a bit of work on housetraining, but learns quickly and this shouldn't be a problem in her new home. She walks well on a leash, but due to her blindness would prefer a fenced in yard so she can run. She tends to jump at people and paw the air a bit, not being able to see, so she may not be good around really small children, but older kids would be fine. AnaBella will need drops in her eyes the rest of her life (to treat the dry eye) so it will be a long term commitment to medicate her twice a day. We are also treating the dry eye with prescription drops in her food. Both the eye drops and food supplement are relatively cheap and cost less than $10 per month. If you would like to give this deserving little blind girl a forever home, please feel free to contact her foster mom.

"Hi, I'm Bronson. Big, strong but very loyal & can be very sweet. I know how to walk on a lead, stay in a crate & go to the bathroom outside. I also enjoy going on rides, running around the backyard & playing with my toys. I do like to sleep in the big bed & snuggle under the covers."
Bronson is a very loyal dog & would do best as the only dog in the house. He does show anxiety & fear when other dogs get in his territory but we are working to eliminate this fear. He would not be good with children.

Fiona is one of the sweetest dogs that you could ever meet. She is 100% housebroken. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, children. She loves to sit by her human on the couch or just relax wrapped up in a dog blanket in her bed. Fiona is a special needs dog. She is almost completely blind due to untreated dry eye. She requires an inexpensive eye ointment 2 x a day. Fiona was found to be heartworm positive and just completed her treatment.

Zoey is a small 1½ year old female. She has natural ears and tail. She is very timid and takes a long time to warm up. She likes to sleep in the bed under the covers with her human. She has some issues with housetraining, but is doing better with frequent trips outside. Zoey would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and someone that is not gone for long periods of time. Nyla is a wonderfully sweet 3 year old. She is great with kids, loves to snuggle and play gently with them. She is very good with other small and medium dogs. She does not do well with very large dogs or cats. She treats the Mastiff and the cats in her foster home as play toys. Fortunately, the Mastiff has decided Nyla is too cute to have as a snack:) She is very well mannered, fully potty trained and loves her crate. Flip is an adorable, young red male with natural ears and tail. He was found as a stray and was unclaimed at the shelter. The shelter staff named him "Flip" because he flips his ears back when playing or listening to his human. Flip is great with kids of all ages. He loves to play with the other dogs and with all of the toys. He has ignored the cats in his foster home. Flip loves to give kisses. He would do great in a active home with a fenced in yard. lbs. Shots up to date. Found as a stray, but I can tell he has been cared for sometime
in his life because he has manners. Very much a gentleman. He is a very young 7 year
old. Acts much younger. He is a very nice guy, somewhat laid back but with just enough
go when it is needed to make him a great dog. He likes to take car rides, is sofa
trained, lives to watch ball games on tv and will make someone a really good friend.
Geno gets somewhat irritated with the 4 other min pins at my home and would prefer to be
an only dog if possible. He just can't understand why they are always so roudy! He
would get along well with a home that had older children who know how to respect dogs.

Harley is a really nice boy, but needs an understanding home. Something really bad must have happened to him as he is a very submissive dog. When you call him and he comes up to you, he immediately rolls over in a submissive position. He is also a bit crate aggressive, when you put him in his crate, he will turn around and try to bite as you shut the door. We are working with him on this and if you put him in his crate and then give him a treat, he doesn't do it. Harley needs an experienced home and would benefit from obedience training just to build his confidence and help him learn to trust people more. Chaz is a wonderful little dog who really needs a home of her own. She was surrenedered to rescue with 5 other minpins when her owner died. She is as cute as a bug and a very friendly little girl. She is on the plump side, but we are working to slim her down a bit. If you want a happy, little lap dog, then Chaz is your girl!

Cocoa: 3-4 yr old chocolate/tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 14", 17 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Cocoa is a very sweet but shy girl who was obviously used for breeding purposes only. She is very nervous when meeting new people, but will just look at you with her sad eyes wanting attention, but so afraid to break through and ask for it. With coaxing, she will sit on the couch next you and seems to enjoy petting, but is not real comfortable with cuddling yet. Cocoa needs a family that is willing to show her the joys of living a life of kindness and loving to bring her out of her shell.

Brutus: 6 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 15", 13 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Brutus is a very loving boy who is so quiet and doesn't demand a lot of attention. He loves to spend time hanging out in the grass in the back yard. He is crate trained and housebroken and would prefer a home with no small children. Brutus knows basic commands such as sit and down and is really a joy to have around.
