TX
TX Arista Arista
Arista: 3 yr old black & rust female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 27 lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter.
Arista is black/ rust, 27 lb, happy playful girl. If she wants a hug, she hugs my leg and looks up for petting. She loves to walk, explore the yard, search.for critters. She gets along with all dogs and people. Not for home with pet rodents. Shelter listed her as adult chihuahua (with those long long legs??). She grew several inches taller. Wisdom Panel DNA shows 3/8 Australian Cow Dog but very nice even if you do not have Australian cows:-) Has enough minpin to be a great rat catcher. Dolly Parton had a coat many colors, you can have a dog of many breeds, a Super Designer Dog. Those cost about $1000 per breed, so she is a Supet Bargain.
Microchipped, spayed, healthy, current on all vaccinations. Arista is in Kingsville TX. For more info contact her foster mom m_land_stat@yahoo.com

TX Buddy Buddy: 5-7 yr old red male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 13", 16 lb. Fully vetted.
Buddy was found on TAMU Kingsville campus after 4th July, maybe lost or left. He is minpin with some chihuahua and some miniature poodle, according to WisdomPanel DNA. Do the poodle genes explain his good manners? Gets along with all. He is light red with silver, about 5 to 7 yr old, 17 lb., neutered, current on vacs, microchipped, healthy, ready for his furever home. Loves walks with sniffing time, cuddles, being near his humans. Keeps an eye on the squirrels on the bird feeder, the fish in the little pond, offers his tummy for rubs. Very pleasant companion.
Buddy is in Kingsville TX. He can be flown at the adoptor's expense.

VA
VA Pepper Pepper Pepper
Pepper - "ADOPTION PENDING": 9 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 14", 20 lb. Fully vetted. Owner passed away.
Pepper is a 9 year old neutered black & tan male with a docked tail and natural ears. He is about 14" tall and currently is a bit overweight at 20lb, but he's working on it, and is otherwise in fantastic shape. Pepper was born on August 29, 2015 and was very well loved and cared for by his owner until he passed away. This handsome boy is very gentle and sweet, loves to gently play with toys and the other small dogs in his foster home, and doesn't seem to mind when they're grumpy. He is a bit shy at first, but has quickly warmed up to visitors in the home and strangers saying hi on walks. He loves to snuggle on the couch and snooze when his fosters are working, is not barky, and is housebroken. Peppers favorite things so far are cuddles, going for walks, getting brushed, and back scratches. He is a total sweetheart and would be a wonderful addition to your family.

Note: Pepper is located in Alexandria, VA.

WA
WA Bailey
Bailey: 2 yr old black & tan male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 10 lb. Rescued from a canal.
From his rescuer: "Bailey is such a special boy!
I was talking with a friend at a small construction site where a house was being built. The area was next to a very busy street with a 4 foot canal running parallel to the road. My friend heard someone call out that there was a dog in the canal. On this particular day the temperatures were in the 30's with the nights dropping to the 20's.
He and I both hurried to the canal and saw this small little dog running back and forth, either trying to get someone's attention or trying to find a way out. My friend jumped in the canal, but the little guy wasn't eager to be picked up. I jumped in and he allowed me to pick him up. He was shivering, but he appreciated being rescued. I handed him to my friend, who was out of the canal by now, while I also climbed out. I immediately took him and opened up my jacket and zippered him in close to my heart. He was so sweet.
I walked the short distance of a block home, with him snuggled tight against me. When we got home, I secured my small patio and yard area so he would be safe. When I put him down, he began to explore the small area several times. I then took him into the garage and opened the car door to take him to the vet to check for a chip. He jumped in the car, went to the back and came forward and allowed me to settle him to his seat. He acted like getting into a car was a normal activity!
At the vet, there was no stress with the other dogs or persons. The tech checked for a chip and found none. Through all of this, he was very cooperative, except when he was offered a treat. The poor little guy was starving and inhaled the treat and was determined to have more.
We left the vet's office and drove straight home. We quickly went in the house and I returned him to his crate while I fixed something for him to eat. He ate and drank as if it had been days since he tasted food. After his tummy was full, he snuggled down and slept for over 2 and half hours, completely exhausted! His crate is always his safe haven for him and he enters it easily.
He very easily adapted to his new environment. After being outside he would make a straight path to his crate...very smart learned very quickly. If I am in the other room and he is fussing, I can say, STOP and he will. Sometimes, when he comes in from outside, I have put my hand up and tell him to sit and he does...He catches on very quickly!
Going to Pet Smart to buy his necessities, I carried him into the store. Once inside, I put him the shopping cart and there was no fuss. We wheeled to where the harness were located. A sales person met us there and he readily let her put one him and then the outer sweater and then hooked the leash. He never made a fuss..totally ok with everything...such a sweet boy!
When we left the store, he had a new harness on, new outer warm sweater and he was hooked with a leash and walking beside a noisy shopping cart...Bailey took everything in stride..nothing seemed to faze him! He wanted to go exploring with his new leash, but he never fought his boundaries.
He waited while I loaded everything in the car and then accompanied me, to return the noisy shopping cart. I put him in the car and drove home with him very content to have scratches and loves while sitting in the passenger seat.
I know when Bailey finds his forever home, with humans that appreciate and love him for the very special boy that he is, he will carry a piece of my heart with him."
Note: Bailey is located in Yakima, WA - and we will not fly this boy.
