"Hello everyone, my name is Sienna. I am here in a foster home living with many other homeless furkids looking for a new forever home.
I had a home for 10 years, where my momma loved me more than words could ever say. But she got very sick and had to go and live with Jesus and so I had no where to go. A kind lady said I know of a place where she can live with other little dogs, and that is how I got here. My life here is not so bad.. I have dog friends, a fenced in back yard, and best of all I get to sleep with my foster mom. I am on a diet to lose a few pounds, and have lost some weight already. I love to lay in the sun for a nap, run in the back yard, and when you can not find me.. I am sleeping in the bed.. which makes my foster mom smile. I am a very happy girl, as you can tell by my pictures. My foster mom and I are hoping that someone sees the pictures and give me a second chance at having my own home. Peter is a sweet young man with lots of love to give. Housebroken, fine on a leash, and good with older children.... Peter is just an all around great guy! He is happiest when he is outside or snuggled in bed next to you. We'd love to find a home with a fenced yard for Peter since he loves tossing a ball to himself in the backyard and running around with other dogs. He also like slow dancing around the living room with his foster mom. Peter is shy around strangers, but warms up after a few minutes. Vegas will soon have her picture taken, and you will all see what a beautiful girl, and a little darling needing a new home.
This darling girl came to rescue, because her family had a baby, and Vegas was not given any attention, including outside time for her private duties..
Vegas is now living with many other homeless furkids looking for that second chance at a new home. Because Vegas was so attached to her old home, she wants to be near you at all times, and will cry if she can not see you, but we are working on her having more confidence in herself.
Vegas is learning about crate training and doing well at the new lessons. You can always see her tail wagging and a smile on her face when she can be with you and gets some cuddle time. We are hoping that someone will see her picture and bio and give her what she wants most in life.. an second chance at her own home and family. Could that be your family?

Lucy Liu is a sweetheart of a dog. She loves lap time and can be very affectionate. She does super with her foster dog siblings and even handles her big foster cat brother.
She is a little pudgy but has already dropped a little weight and in time will become more svelt. She is housebroken, papertrained when it's rainy, crate trained, and does well riding in a car. She'd fit in well with other animals and is definitely not the alpha type. She looks forward to meeting her forever family!

I would like everyone to meet Kenny. He is a sweet and loving dog. Everyone is his friend, no one is a stranger, just someone he has not met yet.
Kenny came from a high kill shelter where his time was up. I just can not understand why he was still there. He has to one of the most sweet min pins I have ever seen. He walks very well on a lead, house trained, crate trained, gets along with other dogs and just wants to belong to a forever family. We are not sure what happened to his family, but he a awsome boy. If you are looking for a kind and loving companion, Kenny is waiting for you..

I would like to introduce Big Bear to everyone. Big Bear has great recall, very loving, housetrained, loves his dog pals. Now you wonder "Why is he in rescue?". Well his family are having a second baby and Big Bear did not fit into their plans anymore, so off to the pound he went.
IMPS was called, and off we went to save him, because he was so scared at being at the pound and could not understand where did my family go..
For the first day he was a little off with me, but then when he found out he was safe he became the biggest lover.

Little Bear invites you to kiss him by putting his cheek near your face! He loves to cuddle and absolutely melts when his chest is rubbed. His favorite place to sleep is between your knees. Having to move was never a part of Little Bear's life plan, but economic difficulties necessitated that his loving family ask us to find him another forever home. Meet the Honeymooners! They actually rub necks and then Chipper puts his mouth over her nose; all the while their little tails are wagging full speed! Chipper looks at Zoey and only sees her sweet face and temperament, not those extra pounds. Zoey relies on Chipper because he is so brave, like he never met a stranger. And then, his walk! He has this John Travolta butt wiggle. It's as if Stayin' Alive is playing somewhere. They potty in exactly the same place or at the same time, sleep in the same crate and wag when they see each other coming in the room. They really like being around people and express their thanks with little licks on your hands. They don't even get on the furniture unless invited. These dogs were well loved and trained by their owner who did not come back after his second trip to the hospital. They absolutely love to walk (good on a leash, staying side by side of course), but we think that their owner started giving them cookies because he felt badly that he couldn't walk them anymore. With regular visits to the dog park where they run or walk all the time and nightly walks, their extra pounds are starting to melt away. Zoey has already lost 4# and Chipper has lost 3#, with a few more to go. They rarely bark, are crate trained and house broken, and just want to share their love with you. They have enough love to share with a whole new family and can hardly wait to begin!

Precious Kayleigh Rose is like a delicate little flower waiting to bloom. She was abandoned by her former owner and now needs someone to love her and give her the TLC she deserves. How do you find the right words for a great dog....We don't have any history on this sweet girl except she was abandoned with some other furkids...It appears that Nevaeh has loved and taken care of a lot of puppies and now it's her turn to be loved...If you are looking for a loyal companion, this is your girl..She's very affectionate and loves your lap the best...She doesn't mind her crate and is house broken...She has really attached herself to her foster furkid sissy and would be good in a home with another small in size dog... She doesn't mind the three cats she's around either...She does have a cataract in her right eye, but does not require any medication for it...If you look past her outside you can see the true beauty inside...She loves to cuddle in bed right next to you...She is very calm on a leash but seems to prefer the back yard to do her "business", so a fenced yard would be ideal for her...Did I mention she loves belly rubs....If you have room in your heart than open it to Nevaeh... Harley is a playful little puppy, heart of gold. He has been in and out of houses due to his back leg. He was born with his knee pooping out when he walked. After a long day of playing he would hold is leg up. But we got the story and came to his rescue, and gave him a new leg. He is doing great and he is ready to go to a good home. He loves everyone. I call him heartbreaker! He needs more work on the leash, comes when called and love to play and cuddle. He's a keeper!

Chloe is a beautiful red Min Pin who has been bounced around a lot lately between homes and we'd like to find her a forever home soon.
Chloe would do best in a home with no other dogs. She is protective of her food and while she is okay with some dogs, she is happiest being the center of attention. She chases cats, so inside cats probably would not be a good idea for her to be around. She knows some of the basic commands, such as sit, stay, no bark, come. She is housetrained, but needs to be let out on a regular schedule. She is also crate trained and settles in after a few moments.
This is a very sweet and loving girl. She loves to cuddle and sleep under the covers with you. If you have room in your heart and home for Chloe, she will reward you with many years of loving companionship. Cricket: 3 yr old stag red male, to be neutered 9/10/10, docked tail and cropped ears. 11", 9 lb. Rescued from shelter.
This is Cricket, a stunning stag red Min Pin. Cricket was found running loose and ended up at a shelter, where he was extremely fearful. Since coming into foster care with IMPS, he is still fearful at first, but warms up quickly. It was apparent that Cricket has had no training at all and really didn't even seem to know what the outside world was all about. He also has proven to be an escape artist and will bolt if given half a chance. He will need a Min Pin proof fenced yard to run and play in and a new owner who has the patience and commitment to take this diamond in the rough and turn him into a gem. This is a very sweet boy who needs a forever home to make him shine!
Cricket will be ready for his new home as soon as his neuter is complete. He will need a home where his new people will agree to enroll him in obedience classes, as these are a MUST to help socialize and teach him the basics. He is house trained and kennel trained. He is okay with other dogs, but we don't know about cats, so would not recommend a home with cats. Because he needs structure and a fairly quiet environment to get off to the best start, a home with children is not for him at this time.

SEXY SENIORS/SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS LOOKING FOR LOVE
Since its inception, IMPS volunteers have dedicated themselves to rescuing Miniature Pinchers and doing their best to find the perfect forever home for them. Sadly, there are always too many dogs needing us, for the foster space available, so we have to turn too many away. Unfortunately it's usually the older/special needs dogs we have to say no to, since we know that they will probably not get adopted, and will remain for the duration of their lives with their kind foster families. We understand that everyone wants a younger dog, to have many years together, but where is the guarantee on that? Unfortunate things can happen to a dog of any age. Sure, if you adopt an older dog, you probably won't have it many, many years, but even if it's just 6 mos., isn't the mutual love given during that time, and the satisfaction of knowing you have helped an unwanted dog worth it? If you are an older person yourself, and adopt a young dog that outlives you, what is going to happen to it? You think family or friends will take it, but believe me, that is not always so. A lot of dogs we have, are from just that scenario. There are many benefits from adopting an older dog, since this is already long, we won't get into all of them, but if finances are a concern, the adoption donation asked is much lower on the older ones. Please find it in your heart to at least think about adopting a senior/special needs dog, or maybe you would like to become a foster home for one. Now, on to our Sexy Seniors/Special Needs babies. Each of them are very loving and need little care, mainly they need love. Some have problems that are typical in older dogs, some just have that distinguished gray look about them, but they all like to go outside and walk around and enjoy the sun. We love each of them and they are more than welcome to spend the rest of their days with us, but to have their own home with special attention would be better. Thanks for listening.

Sasha: 9 yr old Black/Chocolate and Tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 9", 9.4 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Sasha is a beautiful black/chocolate/tan female who has had a tough start in life. She has come from a puppy mill which has left her rather shy of anything new. In the short time that I have had her in my home, she has started to play with toys and enjoy the company of the toy poodle that resides here. They have recently found it quite the game to gather all the toys and hoard them until the other one finds their hiding place and does the same thing back. Too funny to watch. She is potty trained and crate trained as well. She does not like to go into the crate, but she will honor your request and is quiet while there. Sasha prefers the company of women. She is in no way aggressive or mean towards men, but you can tell her anxiety level raises when men are around or try to touch her. She is happiest when sitting next to you while you watch TV or read a book. Sasha does not sleep in our bed due to the other pup we have. However, she wants to and I feel would be just fine. Sasha is learning to walk on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She is quick to vocalize the fact that someone is at the door but will hush with a quite reprimand. She is really easy to work with and will do just about anything for your love and attention. Sasha will do best in a quiet home where the lady of the house is looking for a 'shadow'. Do you have room in your home for a sweet little girl needed and deserving of a second chance?

Evie: 8 yr old black & rust female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 9", 10.6 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Evie is a shy cuddly 8-year-old former breeder, with a gorgeous black and rust silky coat, the cutest little koala-like face and a biscuit-little body! She was quick to learn to cuddle on your lap and get a nuzzle, she'll even give a few tiny kisses. She's a little cautious of the world, considers her crate a den and comes out of it carefully, one foot at a time. Reach slowly for her and pick her up facing you, she gets frightened seeing the ground fall away from her. She splays her feet on your lap, leans into your hand to be petted, and slowly relaxes. Then she'll stay there quiet as a mouse for literally hours! Evie has only just gotten used to wearing a collar and is not used to the pull of a leash. She is crate trained and housetraining well with the rest of the "pack" in a fenced yard on a schedule. The smallest of the bunch, she sticks up for herself. If a male pays her too much attention or another dog puts their feet on her back, she'll growl like she really means business. Evie is feisty with other dogs and will try to dominate when she first meets small ones, but she'll stop after the first few meetings, and she's afraid of large dogs. Evie comes when called and is responsive to quiet verbal reprimand. When she settles that soft, cuddly slightly chubby little body onto my lap or shoulder, well, I just love my little Evie!

Tootsie is a laid back, really nice girl. 9-years young, fit, black and tan, docked tail, cropped ears, 14" tall and 13 lbs. Although she was rescued from a shelter, we believe Tootsie was raised in a home environment, for she is sweet and calm, housetrained, leash trained, and loyal.
"Hi! I'm Tootsie, and I'm in touch with my inner Princess. All we're supposed to do is eat, sleep and look good, right? Well, I've got it goin' on! I love to eat! My foster mum will tell you to watch out for that, but don't listen, ok? I'm not a lap cuddler but I really like to be a companion. When Mum is out and about in the yard, I'm snoozing in the sun, keeping track of where she is. I've got my regal, calm and quiet act on, but I'll still announce visitors like I'm supposed to, if I hear them. Mum says I'm a bit hard of hearing because I can sleep through a lot of noise, but thank goodness the others will jump around so I wake up and join in when they make a ruckus, even if I don't know what's going on! I am usually very quiet but I will tell you when it's time for our morning walk or if you don't get my food ready fast enough.
I get along with other dogs very well. Once in a while, I feel like being the Princess and may climb on your lap just to get closer to you than they are. By the way, a Princess doesn't share her bones until she's done with them, ok? Then I don't care if the others have them. Mum once took me to the shelter to test a cat - huh?!? It didn't have both oars in the water or something, because it rubbed up against me with that silly tail under my nose and didn't do any tricks, so I royally ignored it.
When I came to her home at first, I didn't have much muscle in my back legs and couldn't use the right one very much, I was embarrassed and held it up to hide it. Mum found a joint supplement and now I walk and trot with a bounce! It only bothers me a little on cold, rainy days. I love to take her for the walks she needs, indeed I expect it twice a day, for her sake of course. I'm good for her on a leash and prance proudly. Sometimes I like to go in a different direction; after all, I'm the Princess. If I spot a rabbit or squirrel before she does, I may want to chase it. Very un-Princess-like! But pretty funny, cuz she didn't expect it. I have cataracts but still see pretty well, and it fools her sometimes, haha!
Mum put a step by the bed so I can get up on my own and sleep at her feet at night. I like to take naps there during the day too, all snuggled under my blankie, so please leave it there. At meal time I will eagerly jump into a crate to eat, but I'd prefer it if you didn't leave me in there, a Princess doesn't really belong in a crate. I'm housetrained and prefer a walk to do my business, but on cold rainy days sometimes I'd rather use a pee pad. Reluctantly, I'll put up with baths and nail trimming for your sake. I worked hard with Mum to get well, healthy and fit. I have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in your life. And I'm ready for it!"
Tootsie is a dear. She does indeed have some hearing and sight loss, but her only "special need" will be getting accustomed to her new home it may take a little time and encouragement and the supplement foor her joints. Keep up her walks and she will transition well. She is fully vetted, cured of heartworm and on preventative. Toots has come a long way and is one of our best success stories yet!

Calvin: 10+ yr old chocolate male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 12", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Calvin will win your heart with his cuteness. He has a mild temperament and adapts well to your household routine -- gets along fine with other dogs, large and small. He'll let you know when you are supposed to serve him his breakfast or dinner by getting in play position and wiggling and making noises to get your attention. He loves to be petted but also has no problem snuggling with a blanket by himself on a chair across from you. He wants to be in the same room with you, however. Calvin sleeps in a crate at night. He recently had a thorough dental at the vet. He is missing some teeth but gets along fine without them. It is a bit comical to see his tongue slip out one side of his mouth from time to time.

Lively and spunky, Texas Pete lives up to his name; but he'll also sit on a chair beside you with a blankie when you are at the computer or watching TV. He knows "stay" and "back." I think he knows "come," he just doesn't want to (LOL). Loves to go outside (but should not be kept outside all the time and especially not overnight). Texas Pete is ready for his new home and will make someone a very nice companion.

Spartacus: 8 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11.5", 13 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Spartacus (Sparty) is a handsome 8 yr old male currently being fostered in Charlotte, NC. He has natural ears, which give him that "puppy look" we all adore. He loves to sit with you when you are reading or watching TV. He'll put his paws up on the chair for you to pick him up. Once on the chair, however, he will seldom jump down by himself as he has a bit of knee trouble. He doesn't seem to be in pain and no vet has recommended surgery. We have brought his weight down from 15.4 to 13 pounds. He could stand to lose 2 more. Sparty needs someone who will keep him moderately active--either by being in a fenced-in back yard with other dogs several times throughout the day or through daily walks. He is a very sweet dog.

Spanky is a perky little black and tan boy with a soft thick coat and confident personality. At 8 lbs he is about 2 hands full and likes to position himself along the arm of a chair, watching all that's happening around him. He LOVES to lay on the window sill, and can self entertain for hours with a toy. Spanky is the quintessential minpin, a bit independent and a complete character! He is his own little man, and is especially affectionate with his people, ducking his head for a pat and rolling over to have his belly rubbed. He becomes very attached to every member of the family, showing his love with enthusiastic kisses and a little tail that wiggles his whole body. He will sleep or snuggle with anyone that lets him. If he's not tired, he'll rest at the foot of the bed watching the door. Spanky considers himself the protector of the family and can make a stranger feel unwelcome - he needs to be on leash when visitors arrive and introduced properly. He plays energetically and enthusiastically with other dogs even though most are bigger than him, but he prefers not to share food or toys and is assertive about it. His protectiveness and tendency to bolt thru an open door may not make him a match for small children. But his loving cuddly nature and generous affection will make him a great companion! Fully vetted, crate trained and house trained, a bit of a puller going for a walk on leash but we are getting a no-pull harness and he's working on it.

Miss Daisy: 5 yr old fawn female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 10", 12 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Daisy is a minpin-chihuahua mix with a full thick tan coat and reddish brown stripe down her back, and red and tan face markings. She was dumped in an elderly person's back yard with two Pomeranians, post-partum with a severe uterine infection. She was in pain, sick and unhappy with all the strangers, and was very nearly euthanized. A Good Samaritan brought her to rescue. She's now had a hysterectomy and series of antibiotics, and is fully recovered.
Miss Daisy is a tiny, plump little girl with a silky soft little belly - she finally trusted us enough to roll over and let us rub it! She's very shy and took her time getting comfortable with us. She has a crate-den with lots of blankies to burrow in, and comes and goes as she pleases. She prefers to sleep in it but sometimes wants to snuggle in bed with her people. In the morning, Miss Daisy can be found fully burrowed and wound up in her blankie, and dislikes being disturbed from her beauty sleep, for she is not a morning girl. She can self-entertain with a chew toy on her blankie, or watching everyone from the back of the couch. She is playful in a chest-down, butt-up kind of way, and wags that little tail a mile-a-minute whenever she sees her favorite person: the man of the house! Of course, anyone with food is a candidate for tail waggin' too! Miss Daisy has decided the others her size are fun to play with and can be seen nudging and rolling back and forth with them, across the bed or under it. She came to us housebroken and very well mannered on a leash, clearly accustomed to walks. Miss Daisy is afraid of large dogs, too many dogs or children, and noisy commotion by those that are bigger than her, and may get nippy when she is afraid. A relatively quiet home without children is recommended.

Mandy: 8 yr old black & tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 14", 18 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Mandy is a fit, compact, quietly sweet natured momma pinner who came to us from a breeder in the Ozarks. She was over bred with her belly and coat in poor condition, and has had both spay and hernia surgeries. We are optimistic that this is over, and her coat has grown in nicely. Believed to be the mother of the group, she was unused to human handling but will try and is the most responsive. She instinctively turns to run away, then turns back and rises up on her back legs to be picked up. Mandy finds it difficult to relax in my arms but, on her own, will shyly approach and climb up on the lounge I'm sitting on. Taking her time, she'll sit looking out over the yard, relax and lean into my leg. Then finally lay down - whew! it feels like quite an accomplishment! Mandy does prefer to be around you, in or out. She is crate trained and housetraining on a schedule in a fenced yard. She is also shy around other dogs and so far prefers to avoid their attention. Her crate is her den for a hideaway when there's too much dog commotion, and she prefers to sleep there. Mandy is a quiet dog and a quiet, loyal companion. She will flourish in a fairly calm environment without children. If you are patient and loving and want to have a hand in the rest of her socialization and training, please contact us!

Rocky is a very happy go lucky boy who has spent his life in a puppy mill. He loves being able to run free in the backyard, you can tell by that big smile on his face. He is still a bit shy when meeting people, but a home who is willing to work with him will reap the rewards of his love. He is crate trained, but still needs to wear a belly band in the house as he still has the tendency to mark his territory. With consistent training, he will be successfully potty trained. He doesn't understand the leash yet, so a home with a fenced yard would be best.

Pick me, Pick me, Pick me!! Now that I have your attention, allow me to introduce myself. Dakota is my name and I am a dignified southern gentleman. I am charming, handsome, and smart; what more could you ask for? When I'm not being a dignified charmer; I like to play with toys and there are so many toys here. I'm not sure which one to play with first. My favorite game is "Min Pin 500" That's where I zoom through the house running laps and you have to see if you can catch me. When I'm not playing, I love to snuggle on the couch, nap in the bed under the covers and get belly rubs. I love going for walks in the neighborhood. Like I said earlier, I'm a gentleman – that means I won't chew up slippers. : ) I am a total package of love. No lap is too big or too small for me, so if you have a lap, I'm here to fill it. I've been waiting a long time to fill someone's lap and be loved. Now that you've read all about me, don't look any further because I am the one for you. So what are you waiting for; let's go, I'm ready for my walk. If you'll give me a fur-ever home, I promise to give you all the kisses in the world and a life time of love.
Notes from foster mom: Dakota is bragging a little too much. He needs to learn house manners but he is right about being a charmer. One look at those sweet, gentle eyes and you have to scoop him up and give him kisses. He is a very nice, loving dog but has one issue; he is scared of men. There must have been some past trauma so we are working on positive associations. Due to his young age we expect him to learn quickly to love all people. Dakota will make some family a nice pet. He will thrive in a home with lots of love and attention.

Fireball: 7 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 10", 9.6 lbs.
Meet Fireball. Isn't that a great name? He was given that name because of his rich, red coat. This little dog lost his home to hard financial time for his owners but you can tell he was truly loved. He immediately adjusted to being in foster and we have fallen in love with him. He gets along great with other dogs as he lives with three other females so I guess you could say he is the man of the house. Fireball is 7 years old, but don't let that fool you. He acts like a pup and loves to play with his toys. All 7 means, is that he won't chew up your shoes or destroy house. He will let you carry him like a baby and is a great lap dog. He loves to burrow under anything and when you say the word "sleepy" he will be the first one in bed under the covers waiting for someone to snuggle with. He loves to go for walks and does great on a leash and he loves car rides. His favorite thing is looking out the window while riding in a car and taking in all the sites. He also loves to be in outside and take naps in the sun. Come meet him, you will love him.

Meet Brady. Isn't he gorgeous? This young dog is a handsome, tall min pin that really does look like a miniature Doberman. He has a proud and confident stance. His eyes are warm and soulful. Although he has a regal presence he can be silly and fun-loving. He likes to play with the other dogs; running, chasing, being chased, wrestling and all-around good min pin fun. Mealtimes are entertaining because he will sing and dance for his supper. When he isn't playing, singing or dancing he loves to be held, cuddled and petted. He will lay in my lap and look at me with love in his eyes. He is a great dog but is fearful of strangers and new places. He would do well with a family that could take him out walking/jogging so he can get the exercise he needs plus experience new things. We love and enjoy Brady - you will too.

I like to spend time with her. She is fun and really smart. I trained her to throw the ball and then she will fetch it. BOL (Bark Out Loud), it is a delight to watch."
Notes from foster mom: Skippy is a calm, sweet dog that likes to be petted but doesn't have to be the center of attention. He isn't rowdy like the other dogs and prefers to be loved on or will quietly lay on his blanket and sucks on the corner. Not sure what that is about but he likes to do it. He is a nice dog and will enjoy a home where he can be loved.

Little Cookie is cute as a button. She is only 7lbs. and likes to be carried around like a baby. She loves to curl in my lap and will give the evil eye to any dog that dares intrude on her nap spot. Her favorite activity is circling the pot-bellied pigs trying to entice them into playing. I don't know what she thinks pigs do for fun but she is willing to find out. She likes to play with the other dogs, ride in the car, go for walks or sun-bathe outdoors. Cookie has already learned to use the dog door and has figured out that sleeping in the bed is like being in heaven. Cookie is a good little girl. She would make a nice companion for someone who is home a lot and enjoys taking their dog everywhere. Email about this precious girl today. Update: Pigs won't play so she has taking to "herding" them by nipping at the rumps and trying to pull their tails.

Looking for a tiny lap dog? Jamocha is your man. This little guy tops out at a whopping 7.3 lbs! He's a little shy and fearful of strangers, but once he gets to know you, he's a real sweetie pie! Jam is well behaved and loves to play with his best doggie buddy. He also enjoys playing with toys. His favorite is a teddy bear that when squeezed says the Lord's Prayer. Boomer is what we call a rare black min pin. Actually we don't know what he has in him that gives him an all black coat but who cares? He is adorable with his shiny black coat and cute little docked tail that wiggles in delight all the time. Boomer would be great with a family that has another dog so he can have a play mate. He likes to run as fast as he can around the yard and then lay down. He is cratetrained and each day is getting better with housetraining. He is such a smart boy. If you are looking for a dog that just wants play and be loved then Boomer is for you.

Annabelle is a sweet, playful dog. She has had a previous owner and knows how to sit. She is crate trained and is being house broken - work in progress. Annabelle is very young at heart. If I am on the couch, she just lays right beside me and the same in the bed. She loves to play with any kind of toy and just chases them when you throw them.

Rocky: 5 yr old, black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and natural ears. 14", 13 lbs. Shots up-to-date. HOUSETRAINED and CRATETRAINED
I've never been around a min pin who is as calm as Rocky. He will play with the other dogs if they encourage him enough and is very gentle when he does play. He shows no interest in the cats beyond that first sniff. He does fine with adults and children. Loves to go for walks. He acts like he is just happy to have a soft and comfortable place to sleep. The cutest thing about Rocky is that he smiles. I caught a glimpse of them this past week. Well today I got him really excited, playing and talking silly to him and he broke out in a HUGE GRIN. The sides of lips pulled back almost to his ears and nose so wrinkled up that all of his teeth were showing. He's really hard to get excited but now every time I do, he smiles. It isn't often you see a dog smile and even more rare to see a dog grin; Rocky does both. It is heartwarming and joyful when he shares his happiness this way.

Rusty is beautiful min pin who is also very sweet. He loves to cuddle but his favorite thing in the world is a squeaky toy. He will leap 4 feet in the air to get one. He likes to play tug a war with it or toss it around. His play growl sounds like a purr. He is so much fun and quite entertaining. He has gotten along well with all the new people and dogs he has met. He likes children but the really young ones scare him. The cats scare him too. I guess it is because they are bigger than him. He is completely cratetrained and almost housetrained. He learns quickly. Rusty would be a great addition for almost any family.

Jasmine Hicks: 5 yrs old, stag red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11.5", 10.4 lb. Shots up-to-date.
We have had Jaz only a short time and she has already wiggled her way into our hearts. She loves attention and to be held. When she wants to be picked up she will hop on her back legs until you pick her up like you would a todder. Then she wants to lay against your chest with her head on your shoulder. She also likes to put her paws on each shoulder and lay her head against your face. Amazingly affectionate for a dog that just came into rescue. We took her to the park and she enjoyed walking but convinced my husband to carry when she got hot. Her face and eyes are really pretty. She gets along great with my other dogs. We don't have cats or kids so I don't know how she is around them. She sleeps in a crate but also enjoys getting in the bed. She has only pottied in the house one time and that was the first night she was here. I really like how sweet she is, most min pins choose one person to lavish with their attention. Jaz has chosen both me and my husband. She is going to make someone very happy.

Silly name for a silly little girl! Our Lil' Miss Nascar loves to run around in circles, always to the left. She looks like she's practicing for her next Nascar race! A petite little girl, Lil' Miss is only about 8 pounds. She is housebroken but will require a fenced yard as she prefers to do her business on her own rather than while on a leash. She loves to be held as you walk around and of course, sleeps in bed with her person and loves to snuggle! Lil' Miss is great with the other dogs. In fact, I think she would be happiest in a home with at least one other dog to play with. She is very timid, but day by day is gradually coming out of her shell. Won't you please consider giving this beautiful girl the loving home she deserves?

Tucker: 7-8 yr old, neutered male, chocolate, docked tail, natural ears, 12lbs, 11inch. Microchipped, recent dental. ***Sneak Peak*** Available in October ****
Tucker has had a hard life, we don't know exactly what happened to him to cause such anxiety but we do know that he was being used a breeding dog in a backyard operation. He came in with Annie and another female. All of them exhibited the same fears but with Tucker it has been worse. It could be because he is older and had a longer time of neglect. He doesn't act as if struck but just fearful of drawing attention to himself. The notes from his foster mom below will describe in detail. To add to his problems he also had heartworms, but they were caught very early so there is no damage to his heart and lungs. Physically Tucker is in good shape now he needs help to gain confidence in himself so he can enjoy a happy, comfortable life. He needs an owner who is patient and gentle. One who can provide a calm and relaxed home for this boy.
Notes from foster mom: He is a very calm quite boy but so so fearful and insecure. He doesn't play with toys (he'll pick one up sometimes but drops it as soon as he thinks you see him). He will walk on a harness but a collar really upsets him. He pees on himself if you try to reach over top to pet him. If I'm sitting and he wants to be close, he wedges himself behind us and the couch, he will never sit "out in the open" with us. When I walk him, he walks behind me, not beside me. If I stop walking, he plasters himself to the back of my legs. He has never played with the other dogs. He about has a heart attack when company comes over. He won't get under the covers like most min pins. You have to be sitting down to touch him and even then, it's only when he's ready. He is so submissive that if I move, he rolls over on his back. If I make silly sounds to try and get a picture of him that just scares him.
I really do like him a lot and honestly I see a little progress but I'm not sure if he'll ever be "normal". My boyfriend has said that he likes him too (and that's saying a TON if he says that about a dog that pees on himself when he gets scared) so it's not like he's a bad dog and he's been a very easy foster now that he has learned to not pee in the house. I just don't know what can be said that would make someone want to adopt him.

"Hello everyone out there. My name is Junior. If you have been following my story, you will know I am one of the luckiest Min Pins on earth! You see, my owners didn't really pay attention to me and I ran into the street where a big car hit me. My owners were not mean people, just careless. Then, instead of taking me to the puppy hospital, my owners took me to the shelter to be put to sleep. I was so scared and in so much pain. My back legs hurt so badly because they were broken and I had a broken pelvis. I lay in the shelter without treatment for four whole days but it seemed like an eternity. Then the lady from IMPS found out about me and swooped in like an angel and took me to the vet for immediate attention. I had two surgeries on my legs and the best part is that now I can RUN and PLAY! I still limp a little when I'm walking but not when I'm running or playing tug-o-war with the other pinheads. I am a sweet little boy and I really want a chance to live the perfect dog's life in the lap and arms of a family who loves me (and wants to play). I would love to be in a family with another dog or two to play with. I have been neutered and am up-to-date on my shots."

Dominic: 2 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 13 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Dominic is a very laid back easy going small min pin boy of about 13 lbs. He is black and rust with natural ears that stick out sort of like Dobbie in Harry Potter with an adorable face and a docked tail. He was rescued from one of the worst cases of animal cruelty - a puppy mill that allowed not only min pins but other breeds of dogs suffer horribly in very bad conditions. Dominic was treated for heartworms but has now had negative readings, so adoptable now. He has really come out of his shell and enjoyed playing with the other dogs as Dominic is pretty shy at first. He still cowers when you go to pick him up, but I think it is more his personality now as opposed to fear and very endearing in my opinion. Dominic would be perfect for a retired couple or a single person that wants a more laid back, but very affectionate little boy and would benefit from a nice yard because he loves the outdoors only when you are out with him. Also, he needs a routine with a stable home environment to feel secure. He is almost always very shy at first, but then becomes very demanding about cuddles and love. He needs ONLY positive reinforcement due to his past and responds really well to it. He sleeps with his foster mom in her bed and only has an open crate with a bed in it that he like to sleep in, so we don't know how he would respond in a closed crate. He is penned as opposed to crated. We tend to think that he would do better in a no very young kid, no-cat home and only with a more laid back dog of like temperment. He does chase the cats when given the opportunity in his foster home but does not attack if he catches them. The reason why we believe no very young kids is because he is very delicate and would not understand children that don't know their boundaries. Dominic is a sweet, loving little guy that reacts to every cuddle and pet.

Faith: 2 yr old black & tan female, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 15", 12.8 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Faith is a beautiful and very sweet, shy 2-3 year old puppy mill rescue. She was brought to IMPS pregnant and gave birth to five pups. She is now spayed, healthy, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Faith is a work in progress and needs an experienced dog-lover owner. She is very shy of people, and it takes her quite a while to learn to trust and warm up. She needs a calm, patient, experienced adopter who is willing to let this girl blossom. You can thank the puppy mill for her fear issues. It took time to make her this way, it will take time to undo the harm.
She likes toys, and is learning to play a little with her foster mom. She likes to be near her person and follows everywhere. She is housebroken, uses the doggy door. She is learning how to walk on a leash - she's good, but afraid to leave the safety of her yard even with her pack members accompanying her. Faith is amazingly athletic and can jump a 5 foot fence with ease, but all she wants is back in her yard where she feels safe. A secure yard, with a tall fence is a must since she cannot be walked at this point.
She's not aggressive, gets along and loves to play with other dogs and even tolerates cats. She's very smart and attentive. She is better with women than men, and would do best in a home without children. It would help her if there is already a stable, calm dog in the family to model behavior for her.
She very much wants to give her heart to someone, and is making an effort to overcome her fears. If you can wait for the reward and appreciate the small victories in the meantime, please contact her foster mom, Katherine at minpinity@gmail.com.

"Hi My name is Razz Ma Tazz but my friends just call me Tazz. I was rescued after having a severely broken leg that had to be amputated. But don't worry, it does not slow me down a bit. In fact I get around better than some of the four legged min pins I know. I love to be petted and told what a good boy I am. I demand attention. Seriously! If you ignore me when I think I should be getting some quality lovin time, I will tap you with my pay or crawl up into your lap. My foster mom calls me a snake because of the way I get on my belly and crawl over to a waiting lap for a belly rub. My foster mom has four other min pins that I get along with but I am just as happy running throught the house with a squeak toy. Love them squeak toys. I like to sleep in the bed with my human the best so I can cuddle. But do not mind sleeping on a nice doggie pillow as long as I have a cozy blanket. Oh and did I mention I love Icee's? I'd drink right out of your cup if you let me. But if that is not something you would go for, I'll wait to share til you are through. I am very energetic and fun. Please consider making me your new best friend. You won't be sorry, I give the best kisses in the world."

Jojo is a very sweet little girl. She is Heartworm free now after undergoing the treatment, and is also on preventative. She has been spayed and is also microchipped. We can't tell you enough how sweet this little girl is. Jojo has overcome a lot of adversity and has discovered that being a care free dog is a blast. She may have been abused/neglected or both, but wants constant attention. She loves to run and play, not only in the backyard, but also up and down the stairs in the house. She loves to lay on the mat I have laying in the bay window to catch sun rays, or just to watch people walk by. She gets along great with adults and our other dogs. She uses the doggie door and she has not had any accidents inside. She loves to play tug of war, keep away (from the other dogs), and "let's see who I can stalk next". She loves "yum-yums", going bye-bye,and taking walks. She loves her mommy and daddy and Jojo doesn't just wag a tail, she has the whole body wag thing going on when we talk to her. Jojo deserves a quiet home, where someone will be with her most all the time, as she craves your attention all the time. She will make some couple the best companion in the whole world.

Dylan: 2 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 14", 18 lb. Shots up-to-date. Found as a stray.
Dylan is a very beautiful boy with tons of personality at 14" at the shoulder and 18 lbs. His soulful eyes will steal the heart of anyone with a heart, and his coat has turned out very satiny silky smooth after a bout with sarcoptic mange when picked up from the shelter. Dylan loves with a passion any time you spend with him either sleeping with him, exercising him, or just loving on him. He is very treat oriented and has learned to sit and down at this point. He is only 2 years old and has tons of puppy left in him. This is one agile boy that can jump baby gates, but he does not not jump the 6½ ft. wood privacy fence at his current foster home. Another foster dog dug out one time, and he crawled out through the hole and came right back in when his foster mom called him - and another time he was waiting right outside the gate. Of course, only a couple minutes had passed - but this appears to be very encouraging that he didn't want to run. Dylan is housebroken as long as an alternative is available such as potty pads or newspapers if left for very long hours. Dylan loves the company of other dogs and is very friendly with them. Like most puppies, he will get in their space occasionally and have to be corrected - but there has been no aggression noted ever in this sweetheart. Dylan loves people as well and is majorly friendly with no fears noted. He has not been tested with children, but we would recommend he go to a home with only older children. He also has not been tested with cats. Dylan would do best in a home where people are very active and would be willing to exercise him often and have a secure yard for him to run and play. Lori is a sweet 10 year old back and rust Min Pin. She is active and happy, she loves to be near her person and is a cuddle bug. She loves everyone. Lori arrived with her life long companion, Leah, but they do not need to be adopted together .
Lori is in excellent health, alert and a fun dog to be around. She is good with other dogs and a bundle of energy but also likes to sit with you. She is a petite girl, at 10 inches tall and 10.5 pounds with the prettiest face around.
So if you want loving playful companion then consider Lori. If you want to provide a wonderful home to a very loving little girl she still has many years ahead of her and she so wants to have her very own forever home.

Leah: 10 yr old red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped, upright ears. 10", 10.5 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Leah is a special needs dog. She is lively and playful and loves to be near her person. Leah was born with a condition called Leggs-Perthes Disease which destroys the hip joint. She has already had successful surgery to correct this very painful condition, and that leg is fully recovered with no problem. The other hind knee has developed severe arthritis, so she walks with a limp and is on pain medication daily for it. She will need twice yearly blood tests for checking on the level of medication. Light exercise is good for her, but she needs a home that will be sure she gets her medication and not overstress her knee. Leah is loyal and protective of her family, has a great appetite, is house broken. She has an underbite but has no trouble eating anything, and the vet said there was no concern there. She looks like a tiny red fox and is just as sweet as she can be. She knows how to use a doggie door. If you can give this little lady a home she will repay you with boundless amounts of love. She would be excellent for a retired person or an older person who is home a lot. She just loves to be a lap dog! She is quiet and would do fine in an apartment. She is good with other dogs (and has always had another dog with her), strangers, cats and children. She came into rescue with her sister (see Lori).

Apollo is a relatively small, very soft and cuddly little guy. He's between 1-2 years of age, very sweet and full of personality. He loves to be around people and loves to be held and loved on. He is completing at the moment his heartworm treatment and should be ready for adoption around mid-February. This is not a very high energy dog and probably could use to lose a pound, but we would love to find a family where he can be very much a part of the family. It would probably be better if he was in a family with only older children only because we feel that is how he would feel most comfortable. He does enjoy going outdoors for short periods of time, but he really loves to perch on the back of the couch and watch TV with you or just be near you. Dallas: 5 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 19", 30-35 lbs. Shots up-to-date. Found as a stray.
Dallas is a very large and very elegant boy. He moves with grace and has a personality matched by few. He probably is part german pinscher because of his his size and build. His nose seems to be more min pin, as a german pinscher has a longer nose. He LOVES to be held but being large, is quite content to be at your side with a loving hand occasionally petting his head. Dallas has the most beautiful eyes and makes unusual eye contact and seems to look right through you. He is housetrained as long as he is not left for very long hours and will use newspapers if he is. He enjoys sleeping with you in your bed, belly rubs, cuddles and love on a dime, and he does love toys. He's very protective of his home and will bark but can be easily corrected with a squirt from a bottle with water. He has not displayed any destructive tendencies and stays in a bedroom while his foster parent works a very long day. He also seems to enjoy an open crate full of cushy bedding as a den and little getaway. Dallas has displayed some fear of certain men but will quickly warm up to those that take the time to make him comfortable with them. He also needs some work on the leash as he will pull, and we are working on that. He does love however going for walks and the outdoors. He will require a fairly high fence for security but has not been observed jumping but he does dig and will need to be completely supervised when in the back yard. He gets along well with his foster siblings as well as the resident cats. He, in fact, was found curled up at the shelter with a cat that had been also turned in. He does however do very well with no other animals and loves nothing better than to quietly hang out with his human in the living room or ride in the car. He is more of a human dog as opposed to a dog's dog. He would be fine in an apartment as long as he was walked/exercized a lot as he is pretty much past the very active puppy stage.
Dallas would make a wonderful addition to any family that has the time to devote to him. He follows basic commands and is willing to learn and please. He has great house manners and really looks forward to making your home, his home.

"Hi! My name is Grover, and I'm a lovable, furry little min pin. I really love it here at my foster home. I get to play with two other min pins and relax in my foster mom and dad's laps whenever I want, but I really need a permanent home where I can be loved for the rest of my life. Here are a few things you may want to know about me: I am 9 years old, black and tan, docked tail, cropped ears, 9 pounds, 11 inches tall, heartworm negative, crate trained, and finally house trained! I am a low key, laid back little fellow that prefers to spend my time curled up on a fluffy pillow, blanket, or comfy lap of a human companion. I like to play with my min pin friends, but can also handle a home where I am the only canine companion. The perfect match for me would be with someone who wants a dog that is small enough to take along on adventures from time to time, but also likes to relax and take it easy at home. My foster mom says that sometimes I snore when I sleep and its really cute, but I don't believe her at all - there's no way I snore! I guess she can say whatever she wants about me as long as she keeps giving me lots of those yummy treats I love so much. "Hi my name is Minnie. My foster dad calls me Minnie Me when we are playing. I am an 8 year old girl who weighs 13 pounds and stands 12-inches tall. I am just learning this thing called "play" as this is a new concept for me. My early life was one filled with isolation and neglect and uncertainty. Until I came to IMPS, I never felt wanted or appreciated. I was ignored and the only words directed at me were ones that were harsh and cold and mean. I was eventually abandoned on the streets and left to my own devices until I was eventually picked up by the shelter and taken to their facility. Someone there recognized my potential and they housed me, spayed me, and cared for me for almost 7 months. They contacted the kind folks at IMPS and let them know about me. IMPS rescued me and the most wonderful thing happened....I was shown love and affection for the first time in my life. I know what it is like to hear a kind word and feel a reassuring pat on my head and it feels GREAT!!!!! Every day I feel more at ease and come out of my shell a little more. I am ready to love my new family once they find me. My hard life has given me some pre-mature gray hairs around my muzzle but that is just hair color....As my dad says...at least I still have hair (he doesn't have much). I would do great with any family that wants a quiet loving dog who has one simple requirement.....just let me be with you and show you how much I can love. Hombre: 3 yr old chocolate/tan male, to be neutered in a week, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 7", 6 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Hombre is a wonderful little companion who just lives to please. He's small and compact and would make a great dog for either an apartment or home with a yard. He's not a barker and his favorite thing in the world is to keep your lap warm.
Hombre's perfect home would include a couple of older children to call his very own. He's been around children, ages 6 and 10 and did well with them. He is good around the resident cat and his foster brothers and sisters so an extended family of critters is also very acceptable.
He has a scar on his lower spine that is now healed and gives him character. We're not sure how Hombre was injured, but it causes him no discomfort. This is a sign of his life past, and now he's ready to start a new life where he can love and be loved.

This is a total love of a dog. Nothing bothers him, he is a good eater and gets along with all the other dogs, girls and boys. He's great with people of all ages. He was neutered on 8/21/2009. He is obviously used to being a house dog. Nobody came forward to claim him after a week of advertising. He will make some lucky family a great Pet.

Jasmine (Jazzy) is a very affectionate dog, she has lost her home twice through no fault of her own. She loves kids and will play for hours with them, she has lived with children as young as 1 year. Jazzy has never threatened to bite under any circumstances. She play growls but that is what she is doing...playing. She loves to be near her people and the more attention she gets the happier she is. She loves walks, car rides and mostly to be loved by you. Dexter: Meet our man, Dexter. Dex is a whimsical little guy with his own sense of style - he sports a "Mohawk going down his neck from where the hair meets. He is 13 inches tall, 10 lbs, approximately 4 years old, and all legs and personality.
Dex is looking for the right lady...he has a marked preference for women and becomes depressed and withdrawn if men are his only source of company. With women, he's all smiles and attention, and ready to play. With men - sorry guys, he could care less. He will warm up to you and be friendly, but only if his primary care giver is a woman.
Dexter came into rescue after a cruelty case confiscation. He was painfully thin, had several broken teeth and an eyelid that needed repairing. He was either kicked in the face or possibly on the wrong end of dog fight. But in spite of all this, he's a friendly, loving, happy boy - very bright and eager to learn, and oh such a lover! He gets along with other dogs and loves to play, and is ready to go with you at the drop of a hat.
He's doing well in learning his manners on a leash and basic commands. This is very important as he loves to go with you and any time the door is opened, its an opportunity for him to run out it. He doesn't go far, but its a dangerous habit that many min pins have.
He needs a mom with a sense of humor and an understanding of dogs.
Our boy is up to date on shots, Heartworm negative and on prevention, neutered, and ready for his new home.

Georgia: 5-6 yr old adorable black & tan female, docked tail and uncropped ears. 14". Rescued from shelter.
This great little gal is playful, but not over the top, loves to go for walks (and walks nicely!), and is very affectionate. She will be subdued when she first meets you, but will also sit on your lap, and be next to you all the time, then wake you up with face rubs and smiles. She likes to rough house a bit. An only dog? No problem. Have another dog? No problem. Got a cat? No problem.
She looks you in the face and waits for your smile, and you won't be able to keep yourself from smiling back when you see that sweet face of hers. Georgia is just a lovely girl, inside and out. She will give you her whole heart if you will let her.
Georgia is housebroken, doesn't chew inappropriately, and if you don't get the message right away that she needs something, she will jump in your lap, give you a full Georgia hug and rub her face against yours. Really one of my very favorite fosters ever. All she needs from you is love, time, commitment, and bedtime biscuits.

Kyra: 5 mth old black & rust female, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 9 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Kyra is one sweet little girl who has the prettiest face and is just precious! We just picked her up yesterday, and the first thing she did when I picked her up is put her head on my shoulder - what a little sweetie! Her natural ears and tail add to her character. This morning we went to the vet and she got her first puppy shots being as she is maybe 5 months old, had a fecal and heartworm test of which both were negative. She IS too thin and is eating ravenously, so the meager 9 lbs. should probably end up being 10-11 lbs. The vet noted no health issues at all, and we are due for the 2nd set of shots on 11/24/09. If she could talk, she would be asking for a loving family that is stable and would give her the stability, comfort, love and affection....and of course be willing to train her to make her the best that she can be. "HI! Hey, I'm Bean, and my foster mom says I'm one super happy, funny, sweet girl. I love to play! My all natural tail usually sticks straight up like a flag pole and wags a lot. Sometimes I like to chase it around in circles - something most of my Min Pin friends can't do, ha, ha! I'm looking for a family to go on walks with, trips to the dog park, car rides and especially cuddles on the couch watching TV. I love to play and think chasing a laser light is one of the best things ever.
I'll go in my little house (crate) whenever you tell me to, but I'm happy to sleep with you in the bed, too. I know to go potty outside and walk great on leash. I really want a family with another dog buddy about the same size so I'll always have someone to play with. Foster mom says I'm an "Alpha Wanna Be", whatever that means. I do like to get my own way when I can, but she doesn't put up with any shenanigans. Oh, yeah, she says I have to tell you I sometimes like to dig and I can be sneaky trying to get out the door. It's just for fun, though, 'cause I like to play.
Sometimes I get skin itches and my hair will fall out, but a little preventive maintenance keeps that from happening. I love to give you kisses and mostly, I just want to be part of your happy family. And play. Did I mention I like to play?"

Pistol is a sweet and friendly boy who's special place is right in the middle of your lap. He's loving and loyal and still displays a lot of puppy energy. Pistol would do well in a multi-dog household. He will tolerate the resident kitty, but would do best if one didn't exist within his immediate domain. He does bark and get a little rough in play with the meowers. Pistol loves children, however, and would love to have an older, human playmate to pass his time with.

"Hi! My name is Ode De Bleu but my friends just call me Odie. My foster mom says I'm a pretty special little boy because I'm a bonafide Blue Minpin. I'm also a very beautiful little boy with an absolutely delightful personality. My ears and tail are nicely cropped and docked and I can prance like no other minpin you've ever seen. I also exhibit a very endearing quality by rubbing against your legs, much like a cat would do. I LOVE toys and I promise I won't tear them up. I will, however, love them and play with them providing you with hours of smiles and giggles.
I'm pretty much house trained, however, you will see in my pictures I'm wearing a belly band. This is just a reminder for when my mom isn't watching that I need to be sure to go outside when nature calls. I do not do a lot of barking, but when I do, I have a low, "big dog" bark. I have some hair-loss down my back, but that is growing in nicely and I expect that with good food and lots of Stress-free fun, I will have a complete coat grown in in a very short time. All my blood tests have come back normal, so the hair-loss is just from stress and lack of good nutrition.I was rescued from the Shelter because of the unfortunate closing down of a local rescue. I've been through a lot lately but that hasn't broken my spirit; I'm still a puppy at heart. My perfect home would be with a family with older children who love to play and cuddle and will be kind to me. I have so much love in my little heart left to give someone. Look at my beautiful eyes. Do you see your reflection in them? If so, please call my foster mom and let her know you have a wonderful place in your heart to love an absolutely gorgeous little boy - and that's ME!"

Diesel: 2 year old black and rust male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 17lbs. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Diesel is a handsome, strong, high-energy boy who loves to play with anyone or anything. Diesel was found wandering the streets in Red Oak, TX. He was then transferred to the Tri-City Animal Shelter where IMPS rescued him. When he came in to rescue he was heartworm positive, but he made it through the treatment with flying colors and is now a healthy boy. Although Diesel is an energetic player, he has a very sweet and affectionate side also. He loves to cuddle up next to you and lay his head on your shoulder, just before letting out a big sigh. Diesel does best with female dogs, but would probably be perfectly happy being an only dog as long as he had a loving daddy and/or mommy to lavish attention on him. And he is kid friendly!

Sophie is one our oldies but goodies. Some of our Sr. Dogs are our best kept secrets! This little girlis low key, LOVES to be cuddled and be held but not needy. One can see the wisdom in these eyes as she carefully watchesher beloved owner's every move. Sophie is a beautiful little wisp of a girl that is extremely low key. She will bark atthe cat and would prefer a home that didn't have one, however, she is not going to hurt one. Sophie doesn't have a mean bone in her little seven pound body. Sophie has gotten a clean bill of health and should be able to provide her new owner with years of enjoyment and happiness. Just be sure you have a lap and lots of love to give this little girl. Her requirements are few. Rest assured, she only has eyes for you.

"Hi I'm Stitch! When my fosters got me, they thought I was a puppy because I have lots of energy and love to play - boy were they surprised to find out I'm 6 years old! They call me Stitch because I have strips of hair missing along my back and on the side of my body, The vet thinks that it is from a past acid burn and from a staff infection, but it sure doesn't bother me I'm a typical min pin with lots of energy and a need to explore, so you have to be very careful with doors to the outside and I need to be on a leash or in a secure fence outdoors. Even with all my energy, I'm a real cuddle bug and I love to give kisses! The foster family I'm staying with has 3 other min pins I love to play with, and an 18 month old baby that I don't really mind - I like to clean up the food under her highchair! I'm fully vetted, neutered, and also microchipped. I'm fully housebroken, but like lots of min pins I sometimes want to mark my territory if I'm in a new place. My fosters used a belly band to teach me not to mark in their house. I can't wait to find my forever home!"

"Ahoy, Matey!! My name is Skipper and I am looking for my very own Captain. I am a young, large, all natural min pin boy with heart to spare. I was born with deformed hind legs, but believe me they don't slow me down, I can run and play with the best of them! Once you see me go you'll forget that anything is wrong with me. I really love to spend time with my person, and would be best suited for someone who wants to spend lots of time with me, loving me. I promise I give all that love back and really just want a best friend and to be a best friend. I love to play with other dogs but would probably be happiest in a home with only one or two other dogs, just so I can get as much attention as possible. Also my Captain should probably have dog experience as I can get a little over stimulated in very exciting situations, and have slight separation anxiety. However, both of these issues have gotten much better, and barely arise in current foster home, a strong confident leader letting me know that I am loved, should erase them completely. I love to be outdoors, but also love to curl up in bed, and am house trained.

Layla: ~2 yr old black & rust female, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 13", 13 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Layla is a sweet young black and rust min pin that is around 13 lbs. Layla is currently pregnant awaiting the birth of her litter which will be around April 8th based on her sonogram. Layla is around 2 years old. Layla is timid until she trust you but once she earns your trust then she is the sweetest, cuddliest, loving little girl. She is not a barker, I have had her since Sunday 03/14/10 and she has only barked once or twice. I have a doggie door and she only had a couple of accidents so far in the house, but does use puppy pads very well. Her former owners must have used them as she knew what they were right away. Layla would make a wonderful pet and deserves a forever home where she can live out her sweet life with someone who will love her as much as she will love them.

"Hi! My name is Rosie. My foster mom calls me Rosie Posey, aka The Yellow Rose of Texas. I am about 3.5 years old, 12.5" high and weigh 10 lbs. A nice family found me when I was lost on the streets with my puppy. My puppy was sick and, even though the nice family tried to save her, she died. I had to live outside in a doghouse with a great big warm Pit Bull during the freezing month of January until the nice IMPS lady came to get me. Boy was I glad to get clean and warm. I love to lie out in the sun with my foster brothers and sisters or sit in front of the window and watch the squirrels. One time I almost climbed a tree running after one, but I slipped! They surely do run fast. My foster mom says I am just the sweetest, even-tempered, loving little girl. I am up-to-date on my shots, spayed, micro-chipped, and recently had my teeth cleaned. "Hello. My name is Baxter but you can call me Mr. B. I am about as cute a Pinhead as you will come across. I am 11-inches tall and weigh 8 pounds. I have beautiful natural ears and a docked tail. Not much is known about my previous life except that I just ended up in a shelter one day. The nice people at IMPS found me and rescued me from the shelter. My life is much better now. What my foster Dad has deduced about my previous life is that I was probably physically abused by a man because at first I was very scared of my foster Dad but loved any woman I saw. I would cower in the corner and try to make myself invisible at first. Over time, my foster Dad got me to come out of my shell by loving on me and playing with me and the other foster dogs were so playful and fun, that I couldn't help but become a playful carefree pup myself. I would prefer that my new home be one that has a woman in it as I love the ladies!!!! Now, I play and snuggle and run and am a totally different dog. "Ahoy mates! Cap'n Jack reporting... been on a bit of an adventure as of late. I was captured on the streets of Fort Worth with my eye bulging. A very nice lady snatched me from the shelter & rushed me to the vet to try & save my eye, but it was too late. I have adjusted well to being a one-eyed Jack... no pun intended! I am very healthy... weighing in at about 6.5 pounds, 10 inches tall, and a swaggering 2 years of age.
I have the softest coat you have ever felt & I look a bit rakish with my one eye, but I am the sweetest guy you will ever meet! My foster Mom's have all fell in love with me. I am smart, good-looking, very laid back & I am not one of those yappy little dogs! I love to sleep with you & sit in your lap... I am a lover boy. My foster Mom says whoever gets me will hit the "Jackpot"... literally!

"Hey everyone! My name is Hiccup and my foster mom says that I bring life into her house because I'm so full of personality. I'm only about 8 months old, but my mom keeps correcting me when I get into mischief and says I'm doing really well with chewing (as long as I have chew toys), and I've been going outside to potty pretty well. I sleep with my foster mom and her 4 personal dogs and will eat in a crate and don't have any problem eating. I have some Latin roots and love to play hard with all the pinheads around me. Because I'm a puppy, I think maybe sometimes the other dogs consider me to be a pain in the neck....but I'm just trying to have some fun! If I get to go to obedience training, I bet I will be a great dog through and through! Older kids would probably be okay while I learn to calm down a little more. I would love ALL kids, but I may be a bit too rough on younger kids. I'm just a real special guy and would love to find a special home of my own with my own family!"

Willy is a great little dog. He is VERY friendly and loves people and other dogs. He is still recovering and it will take a bit for his hair to grow around his eye suture site and where his skin infection was. He is precious and has remained so happy despite all that he has endured.
This little guy was in the shelter with a horribly ulcerated eye for over 2 weeks and then after being put on death row, he came out with a high fever and raging infection. He is now on the mend and does not hold any of his trials against us.

Penny: is a black/rust female with natural ears and tail. She is 8" tall and weighs about 7 pounds. She is heart worm negative, utd on shots, now on heart worm preventive. She is about 1½ years old, and the vet says she is very healthy.
"Hi! I'm Penny! I feel that I'm a very lucky little girl as my family moved somewhere and just left me in my backyard while I watched them drive away. I was so scared and alone! A nice lady saw what happened and took me to her nice warm house. There was a small human at her house that was very wild and scared me a lot because almost everything was scaring me at that point. Now, I'm at a really great house! There are people that are so nice to me (I'm not used to that) and other dogs for me to play with and they really like me a lot! I especially like Gunther!! He and I play and play. Of course, then I have to rest because I'm young and I never know when to stop playing. I'm quite smart! I know how to use the dog door, I don't have accidents, and I come when I'm called most of the time. I love to sleep with my people and snuggle under the covers. My foster mom says I'm a very good eater and that I am already looking so much better. They think I was skinny. I don't know what that is but I don't think I'm supposed to be skinny. I have a new sweater to wear which I love as it keeps me so warm and makes me feel special. One of my new humans calls me her shadow . . . I follow her everywhere because she is so nice to me! I like the men as well as the women, because here all are so nice to me. I am very good with children, even infants as long as you watch them, if they don't hurt or scare me, I do not bother them. Here I have a 2 year old and a 9 month old that I am with.
I'm looking for my forever home. I don't take up much room so do you think you could find room for me in your heart??"

"Woof, woof...my name is Shelby! I am an 8.5 pound, 2 year old bundle of sweetness with beautiful, expressive upright ears and a docked tail! I am fully recovered from a vicious dog attack & very lucky to be alive with my little bum in tact. I was dropped at a shelter by my family after the attack & laid in pain for 3 days before an IMPS angel snatched me up & took me to the vet. The wounds were so severe that they could not be closed so I spent 8 days at the vet before I was allowed to leave. Then I met my foster Mom & it was love at first sight...actually, everyone falls for me, but do not tell my foster Mom . . . hehehe! It took another 10 days of intense therapy to get my bum well, but Mom & I did it! I am gorgeous, smart, house broken, spayed, NOT yappy, & the ultimate lap dog. I do very well in my crate...I actually like it to get away from the other dogs. They kinda scare me & I do not want to be in a house with a big dog AT ALL! I do have a slight hang up with other dogs due to being attacked, but I am slowly getting better. I guess I need to go to Oz & get some courage, but I am trying to be brave! Mom is very proud of my progress. I'm going to be spayed on 7/22 and will be ready for my new, wonderful home on 8/1! Thank you for reading my story! "

"Welcome to my IMPS profile. I'm Josselyn, but my friends just call me Josie.My life is about to get a lot better and so is yours when you make me your forever companion.
I spent most of my life raising puppies. I thought I was doing everything right, when all of a sudden, I found myself at the local shelter. I'm not at all sure what I did wrong because I was always a great little doggie and an awesome mommy. I watched as a lot of puppies got adopted, but no one came for me. Then a nice lady from IMPS took me home. My foster mom says I'm a beautiful little girl with a precious personality. I get along with all my foster siblings and the resident cat. I don't bark much and just want a home where I can be spoiled for the rest of my life. I recently successfully finished heartworm treatment, had my toofies cleaned, was spayed and had a mammary tumor removed. I feel absolutely great now and am ready to have a home of my very own.
I no longer do 'puppy things' like chewing and pottying on the floor. Zipper: 8 yr old chocolate male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 10", 4.8 lb. Shots up-to-date.
If you like tiny, delectable pieces of chocolate, then you are going to love Zipper. Weighing in at less than 5 pounds, this tiny bundle is just perfect for carrying around and loving on. Zipper was most likely used as a breeder most of his life, but now he's ready to learn what it's like to live in the lap of luxury. He's a bit shy around the male gender, but warms up to females quickly. I believe he would do best in a predominantly female home. This little guy finds his security in the company of other dogs. He will need to be placed in a home with at least one other small to medium dog who is gentle with his touch. Zipper is very tiny with a very petite build, so will need a fence with no compromises. He does not dig nor does he climb. He sleeps in a crate and will crate during the day during your absence. Sometimes he does give his opinion about being crated, but will usually settle right down for a long, peaceful nap. This little boy has gone through heart worm treatment and had a dental whereby he lost 10 teeth. I soak his kibble, but he still has enough chewing surfaces to eat kibble if need be. Zipper has learned quickly that it's a pretty special thing to be cuddled and loved on. I believe this is all new to this little guy. You will need to move slowly with him and gain his confidence. If you have some extra cuddling to give a little boy, then please submit your application and put Zipper at the top.

I'm an all natural girl with one pretty natural standing ear....the other, not so much. I'm about 9 lbs. and 12" tall and maybe could stand to gain a little....but not much. At about 1 - 1.5 years of age, I have lots of energy but really am not a hyper min pin. I love kids and other dogs and would probably welcome a home with lots of activity as I have already been kid tested with a 4 and 1 year old and passed with flying colors! If you like to cuddle, I like to do that too but not all day long because I do have other things to do ;) I'm not really old enough to be a couch potatoe....maybe later. I'm fine in the crate for short periods but would really love to be with other dogs during the day if you work away from home and would love to sleep in the human bed. This adorable little all natural fella is just beyond precious! He's just a pup at 1 - 1.5 years old and already he is cowering way more than a young pup or any dog should ever have to. He's just as sweet as he can be and probably has some latin roots. This sweetheart needs someone that will give him nothing but positive reinforcement and within reason spoil him rotten for the rest of his days. He probably will be fine with kids as soon as he gets his spirit back but may be startled by very young children right now. Some patience, tolerance, good obedience training that is recommended especially for any young dog, loving kindness will make this very special little guy the best he can be! He currently sleeps in the crate but would love to sleep in bed with his human as well and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs. Right now, he's really seeking a lot of reassurance from his human....but his confidence will build. "Hey guys!!! My name is Tator Tot, and I'm 4 months old. I have natural ears and a docked tail and am about 9 lbs. My life has been a little rocky as I had a broken back leg and had to get it fixed. Now I'm just building up big muscles in that leg by walking a lot and my foster mom is working it for me too so I'll use it more and more. I'm a pup, so I do have some puppy behaviors like I LOVE TOYS....so if I have them, I don't look for other things to chew on. I love to talk to you and LOVE LOVE LOVE cuddles and love. I do go in a crate to sleep right now but do take naps with my human in her bed too....and she says I'm a great cuddler. Because of my leg, I haven't been able to be around other dogs with a lot of energy....only very chilled out dogs because my foster mom didn't want them putting their paws on my back end. I haven't been cat tested and am still doing a little puppy nipping so may not be great with very little kiddos, but bigger ones would be great! There is a washable pee pad in my room that I use really great....and I am going outside to potty....so well on my way to being completely housetrained. If I get to go to puppy school with you and get to be around other puppies going to puppy school, I think I will be a GREAT family member!!! Okay, so come get me already!!!"

Harley has been sheltered and reacts to all new noises with barking a little more than he should, but will stop once corrected. He also has separation anxiety. Since he was raised by someone who stayed home all day, he has a hard time being left. He is very loving, likes to sleep with mom. He wants to be with you all day long, he is under my desk in his basket, content. Harley plays well with my other min pins, but is a little fearful of large dogs. He was raised with a cat. We would not adopt him to a family with children.

Prince: 6 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 5.5 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Prince is looking for a seeing-eye-person: Prince has dry eye, which has limited his vision. He will require eye drops and gel every day for the remainder of his life. It would be awesome if he found a home where he was alone for no more than 6 hours a day, so that his eyes can be kept moist with drops. But this is not a requirement. He is pretty good about taking his medicine each day. These meds are about $50 per month. Because of this medical condition, he sees mostly shadows and he will back up from quick moves. Prince is shy at first and must be approached slowly to get your scent. He is doing well with the 2 female dogs he is currently living with. Prince never learned how to give kisses, so he will gnaw on you to show affection. He should not be with small children who are clumsy and move quickly. You will need to make sure he doesn't fall down the steps in your home. Prince does get scared and defensive if he is unsure what you are going to do. If left to his own devices, he would be awake only to eat and go on walks - he loves to nap all day long, especially next to you or on your lap. He loves to sleep with his person under the covers at night. He is mostly housetrained, although you need to pay attention to the time and make sure you get in those walks.

Sadie is a classy-looking Min Pin who is working on her weight. She has lost 4 lbs. on her new diet and exercise program, and is continuing to make progress. For every hug or pat she gets, she gives back double. She is a very loving dog who doesn't know a stranger. She is very calm and well behaved, with a mellow, laid-back personality. She is housebroken and crate trained. What is most notable is that she really has a lovely temperament.

Jasper can be a very fun, loving dog. He loves to lay around with you, or lay on his own. Jasper would be better off around a couple with no children around, or an elderly person who is home alot. He is very nervous when he is left alone, but he does ok. He is very smart, loves being played with, and can also "sit" "spin" "lay" and "speak". He would also make a good watch dog, because he does bark when he sees a stranger. After he gets used to a person, he tends to do ok. Jasper does know the command, "cage" and will go in his cage when told to do so, without problem. He loves having several blankets in the bottom of his cage to burrow under. He also loves laying in bed with you, and will go all the way to the end of the bed under all of the blankets to sleep. He is completely housebroken, and will go to the door to let you know he needs to use the potty. He is a fun dog to have in company, but he also loves to lay around and lounge on his own.

Killer is a healthy, happy, outgoing, curious, and funny dog. He needs a home where he is played with, taken for walks, and has focused activities. He is super affectionate and will lay right in your lap. Killer has tons of energy but has little belly on him because he needs a place to run. He is a 5 year old min pin but definitely still thinks he is a puppy. He knows how to "sit," "lay down," and "shake." A home with older children or active adults who are home would be best for killer. He is a funny dog and tries to chase everything from birds to shadows to the dryer when it goes off. He really is just in need of a good home where the owners have the ability to spend quality time with him. He is a loving dog and shouldn't have to sit in a crate all day long.

Luci's is settling in well, and does not appear to have any behavioural issues other then needing work on housebreaking and needing some obedience training, she listens relatively well (for a puppy) and has more energy than anyone else in the house. She did notice the cat, but seemed more curious than anything else.

Scooby is very sweet and affectionate. Although he is initially frightened by strangers, he warms up easily. He is a great running companion and behaves beautifully on a leash. Scooby needs to be an only dog if possible; he gets along just fine with other dogs, but he will mark even though he is neutered. He loves to crawl into your lap and will give you sweet hugs.

Chloe: 4 yr old stag red female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 12", 12 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Chloe is a beautiful red Min Pin who has been bounced around a lot lately between homes and we'd like to find her a forever home soon.
Chloe would do best in a home with no other dogs. She is protective of her food and while she is okay with some dogs, she is happiest being the center of attention. She chases cats, so inside cats probably would not be a good idea for her to be around. She knows some of the basic commands, such as sit, stay, no bark, come. She is housetrained, but needs to be let out on a regular schedule. She is also crate trained and settles in after a few moments.
This is a very sweet and loving girl. She loves to cuddle and sleep under the covers with you. If you have room in your heart and home for Chloe, she will reward you with many years of loving companionship. Cricket: 3 yr old stag red male, to be neutered 9/10/10, docked tail and cropped ears. 11", 9 lb. Rescued from shelter.
This is Cricket, a stunning stag red Min Pin. Cricket was found running loose and ended up at a shelter, where he was extremely fearful. Since coming into foster care with IMPS, he is still fearful at first, but warms up quickly. It was apparent that Cricket has had no training at all and really didn't even seem to know what the outside world was all about. He also has proven to be an escape artist and will bolt if given half a chance. He will need a Min Pin proof fenced yard to run and play in and a new owner who has the patience and commitment to take this diamond in the rough and turn him into a gem. This is a very sweet boy who needs a forever home to make him shine!
Cricket will be ready for his new home as soon as his neuter is complete. He will need a home where his new people will agree to enroll him in obedience classes, as these are a MUST to help socialize and teach him the basics. He is house trained and kennel trained. He is okay with other dogs, but we don't know about cats, so would not recommend a home with cats. Because he needs structure and a fairly quiet environment to get off to the best start, a home with children is not for him at this time.

Ama pronounced (Ah-mah): 7-9 yr old stag red female Miniature Pinscher, Min Pin, Miniture Pincher, Minature Pinsher, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 14 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Ama is approximately 7-9 years old. She was dropped off at a shelter when the puppy mill who raised her and used her for breeding for the first 6 years of her life no longer needed her. Of course she was EXTREMELY afraid. Having been treated so poorly and neglected for so long she thought that people were bad. She was taken from the shelter into a foster home where she has made great strides forward. Ama will always be on the skittish side but she has come to trust the people she knows. She no longer has fear in her heart, but now it's filled with love. She loves to go on walks, trips to the dog park, and car rides. She LOVES to snuggle under the blankets. she is currently crate trained, but loves to sleep in bed every chance she gets. She is a big fan of little dog toys and chew treats. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home... and there have been quite a few coming and going while she's been there. She also gets along just fine with the big fat cat. She has been around children with no problems, but their volume level and erratic movements make her nervous and uncomfortable.
She is looking for a patient owner with dog experience to give her her forever home. She would do best in a house with no children and preferably a fenced in yard. She loves to be around other friendly dogs so she would like to go to a home where she will have a friend. If you are someone with a huge heart who can give this girl a happy ending to a not so happy start please let me know. If you have mill dog experience that would be fantastic but it is not a must. If you have an open mind and a loving disposition you will be perfect for Ama.

Corby: 2 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 8-10 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Corby came to us from a shelter. His owners were moving and didn't want to take him with. he was neutered, micro-chipped, baby tooth removed and given all his shots so he is all set!
He would need to go to a home with a woman because he prefers them but does get along with the man of the house if he has to! NO small children but he does ok with children that are experienced with dogs. he doesn't like a lot of grabbing. he would love to find an owner that will work with him and not encourage some of his bad behaviors. he needs work on his potty training but is coming along with that nicely but still has accidents. he is getting better but very stubborn! he is lap possessive but coming along very nicely with that as well. he is also working on his nervousness when new people come over. he tends to charge and nip so this is also being worked on. he does get a long with my other dogs. he is a very loving snuggly little guy and very easy to fall in love with. he needs someone to give him love and attention but also the tough love to not baby too much. if you cater to him and let him be boss; this will encourage him and his bad behavior to escalate. he can be a little nippy and gets scared really easily and this is why his behavior needs to be worked on and not encouraged. he is a very stubborn little guy and needs a lot of training to keep him on the right track to being a well-rounded dog. please only apply if you are serious and understand his issues need to be worked on. he is a joy to have around and has so much love and kisses to give and laps to invade!

This adorable little cutie needs a home with no small children. He is very nervous and jumpy. He's not at all vicious and means no harm but doesn't like to be snuck up on or grabbed at by small, inexperienced hands. When he's relaxed he is very lovable and snugly and loves to sit on your lap and be pet. He loves his walks. He also loves his people and can't stand to see them leave the house without him. He actually grabs at pants legs to get you to stay. The best thing for him would be to kennel him before he knows that you're going somewhere. He comes with a couple of shirts and his treat jar. He has intestinal problems (colitis) and had a few dental issues also. He needs to eat either prescription food or food for sensitive stomachs. He's currently eating Nutro Natural Choice, Chicken, oatmeal, and rice. He is doing well with it but drinks a lot of water to help with digestion. He's missing a few teeth, but still loves to chew on bones and other treats. He'd make a great little lap buddy for the right person! He's also great at keeping me warm at night when I'm sleeping!

She enjoys lots of attention and loves to follow you around the house all day. She loves car rides and also does well on a leash. Sassy: 12 yr old black & tan female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 10 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Sassy is a little black and tan minpin with a ton of personality! She was surrendered by her previous owner who couldn't afford to care for her. She is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations and just had a dental cleaning. She loves her people and has to sleep under the covers with you at night! She does guard her favorite things (i.e. toys, treats,bones, etc. ) but treats it more like a game- attacking her toy and not the perpetrator . Sassy has had some cancer, but she isn't currently on any medications and is otherwise in great health for a senior girl. She also still has a bunch of energy. Sampson: 7 year old black and tan neutered male, cropped ears, docked tail, 15 inches, 18 lbs. Heartworm tested and up to date on shots. Owner give-up. House broken and treadmill trained.
Likes: Walks, toys and cuddling under the blankets.
Dislikes: Being crated, being left at home.
Sampson is a total lap dog and will cuddle with you under the blankets all night long. He'll be your loyal little buddy and follow you around to see what's going on. He loves being with you all the time, so he's still working on his crate training skills. After a few minutes of being left alone in his crate he'll stop barking and whining, which is much improved over when we got him.
This little guy listens well and knows some commands like speak, roll-over, shake, and sit. He's great with cats and loves to play with them, although he may chase ones that run away from him. He's good with other dogs, too, but can be a little defensive if he's intimidated by large dogs. I think he would be fine with children, as he is not a nipper and loves to play.
Sampson is energetic and an overall happy little guy and can't wait to find a great home and family to love and one who loves him!

Spyke is an almost 7 year old red min pin that is very easy going and super friendly. He loves to sit on your lap or curl up in a blanket next to you while you watch t.v. or sleep. Spyke also has an energetic side to him that loves to go for a walk and burn some energy, and he walks well on the treadmill to burn off some steam on those rainy/snow day that are hard on the humans to take him out on walks. He is very good around children and is good with strangers and cats as well since he has been in my house that has 5 cats . He will, when new people come into the house be a bit shy but, will quickly warms up to his new guests. Spyke would be a great addition to any family that has pets or without. He has spent the last 7 years living with his sister Chayse who is available for adoption as well. The two do not need to be adopted together.

Chayse is a 7 year old black and tan larger female that is as gentle as can be. Chayse is very laid back andis eager to please. She was surrendered with her brother Spyke but does fine without him. This pretty lady would make a wonderful addition to any home but will do best in a home that will take her for daily walks to help her with her weight as she does have a few pounds to lose.

Curly's caretakers at animal control described him as an "ottoman" - because he is so short and fat! He was brought in with his sister Daisy when their owner never returned to pick them up from a pet-sitter. Curly needs to lose weight so he is obviously food motivated like Min Pins typically are. But in other ways he is not your typical Min Pin - he does not bark at the doorbell or new people, he walks nicely on a leash, and he is extremely tolerant with very young children. He enjoys other dogs and is crate trained. Doesn't he sound perfect?

Marcus: 1.5 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 14 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Marcus was surrendered to IMPS by his previous owner for potty issues, however he is in our foster home now and doing very well with his house training. As long as he is let outside often enough he isn't having any accidents. He is also very good in his crate and will not mess in it. Marcus is still trying to figure out what is going on in his life and is spending some of his time hiding in his crate right now. But he is coming out of his shell a little more each day and he has never shown any aggression. When you get him out he really is the biggest lover! He gets super excited to go for his walks too. Marcus is good with strangers (although shy), children and other animals. I think with a little time and patience Marcus will be a wonderful companion for anyone! After all, who couldn't love that face?

Prince: 6 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 5.5 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Prince is looking for a seeing-eye-person: Prince has dry eye, which has limited his vision. He will require eye drops and gel every day for the remainder of his life. It would be awesome if he found a home where he was alone for no more than 6 hours a day, so that his eyes can be kept moist with drops. But this is not a requirement. He is pretty good about taking his medicine each day. These meds are about $50 per month. Because of this medical condition, he sees mostly shadows and he will back up from quick moves. Prince is shy at first and must be approached slowly to get your scent. He is doing well with the 2 female dogs he is currently living with. Prince never learned how to give kisses, so he will gnaw on you to show affection. He should not be with small children who are clumsy and move quickly. You will need to make sure he doesn't fall down the steps in your home. Prince does get scared and defensive if he is unsure what you are going to do. If left to his own devices, he would be awake only to eat and go on walks - he loves to nap all day long, especially next to you or on your lap. He loves to sleep with his person under the covers at night. He is mostly housetrained, although you need to pay attention to the time and make sure you get in those walks.

She is housebroken and crate trained. What is most notable is that she really has a lovely temperament.

Jasper can be a very fun, loving dog. He loves to lay around with you, or lay on his own. Jasper would be better off around a couple with no children around, or an elderly person who is home alot. He is very nervous when he is left alone, but he does ok. He is very smart, loves being played with, and can also "sit" "spin" "lay" and "speak". He would also make a good watch dog, because he does bark when he sees a stranger. After he gets used to a person, he tends to do ok. Jasper does know the command, "cage" and will go in his cage when told to do so, without problem. He loves having several blankets in the bottom of his cage to burrow under. He also loves laying in bed with you, and will go all the way to the end of the bed under all of the blankets to sleep. He is completely housebroken, and will go to the door to let you know he needs to use the potty. He is a fun dog to have in company, but he also loves to lay around and lounge on his own.

SBTF (Single black/tan female) seeking loving home with experienced dog owner. Suki is a beautiful girl that would make a great companion for anyone with an available lap, loving home with or without other dogs. Suki is used to other large dogs as she was raised with 2 German shepherds. This may account for her high spirited personality. Like most min pins she enjoys eating and should be closely monitored (but she is not food aggressive). She would love be in a home with a large fenced-in yard. Give her the opportunity to warm up to you and be your best friend.

Killer: 5 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 15 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Killer is a healthy, happy, outgoing, curious, and funny dog. He needs a home where he is played with, taken for walks, and has focused activities. He is super affectionate and will lay right in your lap. Killer has tons of energy but has little belly on him because he needs a place to run. He is a 5 year old min pin but definitely still thinks he is a puppy. He knows how to "sit," "lay down," and "shake." A home with older children or active adults who are home would be best for killer. He is a funny dog and tries to chase everything from birds to shadows to the dryer when it goes off. He really is just in need of a good home where the owners have the ability to spend quality time with him. He is a loving dog and shouldn't have to sit in a crate all day long.

Luci: 7 mth old black & tan female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 14", 12 lb. Shots up-to-date.
"Hi, my name is Luci. My foster parents say I am a Mini-Pin, but they say that about all my foster brothers and sisters too, and I know I am way more beautiful than them! I mean come on now, they don't even have tails so how can we be the same? I am a bit underweight but my foster parents are working on that (not fast enough if you ask me). I just want to play and play and play! If you need a running partner, I'm your girl! Now from my foster parents..."
Luci's is settling in well, and does not appear to have any behavioural issues other then needing work on housebreaking and needing some obedience training, she listens relatively well (for a puppy) and has more energy than anyone else in the house. She did notice the cat, but seemed more curious than anything else.
Note: Luci is located in Clinton, MD - and we can fly this girl, once she's up to weight.

Scooby: approx 4 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 15.4 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Scooby is very sweet and affectionate. Although he is initially frightened by strangers, he warms up easily. He is a great running companion and behaves beautifully on a leash. Scooby needs to be an only dog if possible; he gets along just fine with other dogs, but he will mark even though he is neutered. He loves to crawl into your lap and will give you sweet hugs.
Note: Scooby is located in Fredericksburg VA - and we will not fly this boy.
