Toby: 13 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 10", 15 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Toby is a very sweet boy, he love's to get in his bed with his teddy bear and be covered up at night. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Good with strangers, children, other dogs and cats. As most older furbabies Toby is on medication for his Thyroid and Heart but is doing great on them. He is alittle pudgy due to his medications but watching his food intake and short walks during the day help to keep him healthy and will enable him to keep his weight lower. Toby springs to life when the doorbell rings or when he knows he is going outside for a potty walk, other than that he prefers to sleep most of the time. He is very kind hearted and just loves to follow his foster mommy around the house to get any kind of attention he can from her. Although Toby is good with everyone he would be most suited to a life where he is the only one, where things are calm and quiet so he can enjoy himself in peaceful solitude.

Bogie: 3 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and natural ears. 14½", 15 lbs. Shots up to date. Housebroke.
I would like to introduce my beloved Bogie. I know you know who Bogie was, a tough guy, but with a heart of gold. Well this would describe this boy as well. He did not have a good life before coming to rescue. He has been in rescue quite some time, and we are waiting for the right forever home for him. You see he does have some quirks, but in the right home he would flourish. Bogie is the most loving of all the dogs in my home, he is crate trained, housetrained, will walk well on a lead, and his recall is fairly good as well. He sleeps near me every night, and always is by my side. He loves my 13 grandson and will not let him out of his sight.
Bogie does not do well with most smaller dogs, any cats, or little critters. This boy has a prey drive which is bred into the minpin. He could not go to a home with small children because he would knock them over when he is playing. Bogie loves his people, but does not like strangers, and he would need to be introduce slowly to people he did not know.
But as I have said I simply adore this boy. I am looking for a forever home with dog knowlege on how to have Bogie live in your home. Once he trusts you, he is your friend and protector for life.

"Hey everyone, I am here. My new name is Boston. I am a very happy and outgoing little pin head. I greet everyone with a smile and then let them know "Hey want to pet me?" I am happy for attention, am not pushy and just a great little guy. I lost my previous home, not sure why, because I am so sweet that my foster momma says I am like candy, can not have too much."
Little sweet Boston rides so well in the car, I dearly love this boy already. Now you know no one is perfect and alas my boy is not either. You see he is a little older and has a heart mumur. But he takes his pill very gently, and just wants to be with you. He is an angel. Not one bad habit. Perhaps you could find a little room in your heart and home for this little guy. Trust me he will give you more love and devotion than you could ever dream of. Boston is waiting.

Schroeder: 3 year old, black and tan male, 12" height, 13 lbs, natural ears, docked tail. Schroeder came into rescue, abused, hurt, and emaciated when found by the shelter, who begged me to take him. Lord only knows what he had been thru. This poor boy has had a rough life, he has healed, gained weight, and is starting to trust humans again. He would much rather be adopted by a gentle all women household, he has problems with men, everytime my husband is playing with the other dogs, or raises his hand to pet (underhand is fine) Schroeder gets very upset, and wants to protect. He has come a long way, and would need a very understanding adopter. He must be leashed when visitors come to the door, and be introduced very quietly with lots of reassurance and treats. Otherwise Schroeder is a wonderful lap warmer, bed snuggler, and is really doing well on his house training. He loves to play with toys, squeekies are best, has a ball chasing thrown objects, not much for bringing them back, so I just gather a bunch and let him go get them. He is quiet in the crate, I feed him there, since he is always hungry and wants everyone's food. He will also sleep in the crate, but would much rather snuggle under the covers with you, and he is a great little heater. He would do well as the only dog, no idea how he would do with cats or children, so I will say no to both. Yes, he needs further socialization, training, and manners, but most of all needs someone to give him a chance to be the wonderful dog I know he can become. He is neutered, up to date on all shots & vaccines, & heartworm negative. Please contact me if you would like to be that person.

This little boy came from a hoarder situation, and for this reason is the way he is...
Presley has been in my foster home for some time. He is a funny little boy. Pres can climb out of a baby gate, an Xpen, certain type of crate, and a chain link fence, but he loves to run in a back yard with a privacy fence. He loves being outside, and playing with the other foster dogs. Pres does have recall in the yard or a contained area, but if he escapes from you, he has NO recall, all he thinks of is running and having his person chase him.
But he can be a very loving boy, who only wants to be with you, and make you happy. Presley loves giving kisses and sitting in your lap and sleeping with you. He does have many good thigs about him, and other things he can work thru. Please consider giving him a forever home. He will love you more than any other dog could.

I'm a little confused right now because I have been with my family for 7 years and they say I couldn't stay there any more. My mom and dad have a new baby and I wanted the baby's food and now I'm just wondering what happened. His owner said he does well with her 3 year old and any other children he has been around. Meet Sassy, the sassafrass girl. Sassy has taken leaps and bounds since entering her foster home. Sassy learned how to play with toys, but she so enjoys your companionship more. In the morning, she knows my routine and runs in front of me the entire way with not only her tail, but her entire body wagging in excitement because her foster mommy is awake and now it's time to play! Sassy absolutely loves to go on rides in the car and walks on a leash. Sassy likes other dogs, but can try to become dominant if you don't watch her. Sassy likes kitty cats, kids, and strangers. I don't think she's ever met a stranger. When anyone comes to the house she runs around, whole body wagging just waiting on attention. Sassy would be a perfect companion to anyone who wants unconditional love. Sassy is now housebroken and will go to the potty alone, but runs directly back to the door when finished. "My name is Aaron and I am an all natural chocolate boy. My life before I came to rescue wasn't very good. I was in a home with lots of other dogs and was neglected. I had no idea what genuine love and affection was until I was rescued and sent to my foster Mom. Now I want love all the time. I had heartworm and had a hard time eating regularly because I wasn't used to it. My foster Mom has given me lots of love and care and I am finally better. I have lots of energy and like nothing more than to be with my humans. I don't like a crate at all. It may be because I was penned up all the time in my previous home. They could have named me Squeaker because my bark sounds kind of squeaky and loud. I am trying very hard on my house training. I am good with other animals, including cats, and also with kids. I don't have a mean bone and just want everyone to love me. I am looking for a family with lots of love to give. I'll give lots of love right back. I am ready for my forever home."

"Hi my name is Brady, I was rescued by a wonderful person and she kept me warm and took care of me at her house until she called a rescue called IMPS, miniature Pinscher rescue in ohio! I hurt my leg, by getting it caught in a mattress , the coil of the mattress got caught around my leg and I had a very bad wound on my leg and neck. the place were i was staying at they didn't help and take care of my injury and just let me leg rot off. I was rescued by a lady who heard about me, and how they where not taking care of me. I'm so thankful today that she helped me and got me to my new foster home. Now I have a second chance to be happy with a new home! I am a vey happy dog and i get around great with only three legs! I love to play with other dogs! "Hi all, I am BoCephus and I am very excited that my foster mom, brothers and sister rescued me. (I hear it is a Family Tradition). I love to play and didn't have much of a chance where I was before. I'm just learning the rules because I am so young but I'm a good boy and Ain't Misbehaving at all. I am working on my house training and I go out when you take me, I am getting the hang of it pretty quick. I am very sweet and loving and I like everyone. My foster mom says I have the softest fur that feels just like velvet and I am so cuddley. I love to go for car rides. I also love to go for walks and of course I love to play play play! Mom is trying to teach me how to "sit" but heck, I am full of energy and excitement it is pretty hard for me to focus but I am trying really hard to make her proud! I have a very beautiful, black, shinney coat. I am a little skinny and could use to put on about 3-4 pounds. I am learning to play with other dogs, walk on grass, and chase toys. I have never had a chance to do any of these things before. I have recently learned to be outside in the rain. I don't like it, but will go to the bathroom and quickly come back in. Poor Luckey, was not so lucky, you see his family fell on hard times, and could not keep him. Luckey and the family were all so upset that Lucky had to stay at the shelter. Luckey was so very sad at the shelter, and so rescue was called. IMPS came to the rescue for this darling, btw he is very handsome both inside and out. "HI my name is Cricket -- I am new to IMPS. I came here because my original family could not take care of me. They did save me though when I was a puppy. They had heard that I was being chained up outside all the time, even at night in the cold down the street from where they live. They were very concerned. Well, one day I got loose and was wandering down the street. They saw me and brought me to their house. They called the man who tied me up and he said just tie me up at their house and he would come to get me at some time. They did not like that response and decided to take me into their family. I was loved, but my grandma started to have a really hard time walking me and she fell quite a few times and they could not care for me any more. I came to IMPS and they are going to find me a really nice home. I like kids, dogs, and cats. I can be a little scared at first, but if you give me time I will get adjusted and love my new home. "Hi my name is Jake. My mom got really sick and couldn't keep me. My foster mom came to the rescue. She brought me home to a house full of brothers and a sisters, I really like all of them and we are having a good time together. I'm housebroken, I walk on a leash and I ride in a car really well. I am a pretty laid back guy and mostly love to sit on the top of the couch and look out the window or maybe hang over your shoulder and watch TV with you. I love to bury under blankets where I feel safe and secure … in fact, just today my mom sat down a whole pile of blankets that she was going to put in the wash…I buried right in amongst alll that softness and fell right to sleep….mom picked up the pile tto put in the washer machine and I fell right out! Boy was she upset that she almost washed me!! So, pay close attention to bundles of soft stuff because I just may be hiding in there! I'm a really good boy and will be a true friend and companion. Moses is a 6 year old, 5lb 6oz 8" tall Black and Tan male . He sleeps most of the day and gets up to go to the bathroom, eat or get a drink of water. This is helpful because he does not like to go outside to go to the bathroom due to his allergies so if he gets up you know to bring him outside immediately. He is leased trained. He is crated all day and sleeps with me and all the other dogs at night and has no accidents. He gets attached to one person and does not let anyone else hold him except for that person. For this reason he needs a home with no children. He has severe allergies which is control with benedryl and using Vasoline to protect and moisturize his sensitive skin.

Kayedence is a 7-yo black + tan girl from Texas who, in her foster Dad's words, "is just a doll" and a joy to have around. She is an owner give up, raised in a home with children, and is well-trained doggie-door style. She is quiet, gentle, and easy on the home, rather shy but will cling with happiness if allowed on your lap. Kayedence is obedient and a bit submissive with people. Ruggles is a very well-bred, well-mannered, uncommonly handsome black and tan minpin boy. He came to us from an adoring home where he was hand raised, loved and impeccably trained, but could no longer remain. So handsome he is simply gorgeous, Ruggles the Rockstar got his nickname when he first came to rescue and was introduced to the two most non-threatening minpins we had: 2 females with limited mobility. Wouldn't you know it, they were so inspired that they found their good legs and as he backed away, tucked tail and ran, they gave hobbling chase! We had to lift him up out of their reach, shaking like a leaf! Today Ruggles shows off his strength and speed happily outrunning and double-lapping them all. A secure fenced yard to burn off energy is a must. House trained, crate trained and leash trained, he is looking among his fans just for you!

Lil Miss Cha-Cha: 18 mth old red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 7 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Lil Miss Cha-Cha is a well-bred, petite minpin with a strikingly pretty face and deep red coat. She had loving care at some point in her short life, for she came to us crate trained and house trained as long as you take her out. She hasn't learned to communicate but can wait for reasonable periods, sleep thru the night, and will do her business outside quickly and efficiently. She is obedient to verbal commands and well behaved on leash. Fearless and loyal, little Cha-Cha will sound an alarm for strangers and hush when you tell her to. She learns and responds quickly - she's learning to show affection by watching the others.
What's most extraordinary is that this tiny sweetheart achieved all this after surviving her mother's distemper while she was pregnant. Cha-Cha didn't get it, but it attacks fast growing cells, especially brain stem cells of a fetus that will control the muscles supporting her head and legs. Lil Miss Cha-Cha rocks her head to a jazz rhythm only she can hear, and though her get-up-and-go will always resemble that of a newborn fawn attempting to get up and walk for the first time, she gets where she wants to, climbs a few stairs, and is as active and playful as any young minpin! She will live a long, happy and healthy life. For her safety, some accommodations are recommended, just ask her foster mum.

Meeco is a 6-yo black + tan boy from Texas who is a joy to have around. He will eagerly greet you with a minpin spin and if you talk to him, he'll hold a conversation with you! A croon when he first sees you, a quiet "woooooo" when you are preparing dinner, a play-growl when you play with him, a pleased groan when you rub his belly. If you imitate him, you can go back and forth for a while! And his little docked tail is a-waggin' a mile-a-minute! He will sound an alarm if he sees a stranger come on the property, but hushed when asked to stop.
Meeco is an owner give up, raised in a home with children, and is well-trained doggie-door style. We don't have one, and he has been good crated for meals and let out immediately afterward. He is gentle and easy on the home, VERY content to be petted or just touched with a hand on his head while he sits next to your chair, or in your lap. He gets along well with other dogs but should be introduced to them slowly until they understand his little noises. He can self-entertain with squeaky toys or a bone. Meeco has a small scar on his back from reaction to a top spot flea treatment. He also came from a broken home and learned to be afraid when someone starts shouting or raises their hand. I am house trained and I won't chew up your slippers like those young ones do. I love to play with any toy that squeaks or talks and I can play with them for hours. If you throw them, I will chase them all day if you let me. After a good days play, I love to curl up in your lap for a good snooze and them curl up beside you in bed under the covers for a good night sleep. But come morning, I am ready to start playing again. My favorite thing to do is give you kisses and do a little dance for you when you scratch my back end. We're getting really attached to this little one. Who wouldn't? This guy is adorable. Roscoe has personality for days! He's definitely all puppy. Roscoe goes full-speed, nonstop from the time he wakes up until he finally crashes and wants some nighttime snuggles. His favorite thing in the world is to run around with a stick in the back yard. He likes any toy, but hasn't yet quite figured out the "bring it back" concept in fetch. He likes to "help" make the bed (burrow under the covers), fold laundry (run off with socks and hide them), and he even makes a great personal trainer (stands on his foster dad's back while he does push ups). He's quite a curious little boy too. On more than one occasion, we've caught him licking our toes under the shower curtain. LOL Roscoe does like to get into mischief, so it's best if he's crated while you're gone. He is completely crate trained and house trained. It would also be best if Roscoe went to a home without small children. The ideal home for Roscoe is one with an active lifestyle with previous puppy experience. This smart, wonderful dog will thrive in a home that can continue to provide firm boundaries and positive training. Is that home yours?

Ivy is a good natured little dog. She is a Min Pin/Dachsund mix. She is house trained and crate trained. She gets along well with others. She is even great with the cats, dog's, and rabbits. She loves to play. Balls are her favorite. Although she is very playful at times she is not hyper and calms down when appropriate. Ivy is very friendly but she is also a good guard dog. She will alert you if she hears anything, as she likes to sit on the couch and look out the window. She has a little separation anxiety but we are working on that and I have seen some improvement. "Hey Everyone! My name is Brutus! Somehow I ended up in a shelter, but I'm so glad to be given another chance! I have so much love to give! I like to rub up against my foster mom and if she lets me I like to put my little paws on her shoulders and rest my head next to hers! She thinks I'm just the sweetest and biggest baby ever! I do fine with other dogs, but man would I love to be the only dog so I can get all the attention! My foster mom things I should go to a home without kids or at least older ones that know how to respect my personal space! I love to go for walks and do well on the leash so hopefully my new home likes to be outdoors! I sleep in my crate at night snuggled under the blankets, but boy would like to sleep in the big comfy bed with my owners! I stay in my crate during the day when my mom is at work, but she says I'm so good that I could probably be left out if you prefer. I like to run around the backyard, sun bathing is the best, but most of all I love to lay on the couch with my humans so I can get a good belly rub!"

SPECIAL NEEDS: This precious little girl has all the typical min pin traits that make them so endearing. She is playful, mischievous, and absolutely adorable! Unfortunately Zyla has one little problem; when she is overly excited or scared she will piddle. She is on prescription dog food to prevent crystals in her urine. Unfortunately the food is not a total fix for the problem. Zyla does very well at our home because she is very comfortable and confident. We also do not have carpet for the occasions when there is an accident. She also has access to a fenced yard which is absolutely essential for her. Moving to a new home will be stressful for Zyla so her adoptive home must be prepared to handle piddling until she gets comfortable in her new surroundings. Once she settles in, she is completely manageable.
Zyla is a sweet, active, young girl with her whole life ahead of her. She has a very loving personality, loves to snuggle with me, cuddles the other dogs and enjoys playing with her toys. She has the cutest expressions and delights us with her silliness. It breaks our heart to think she will linger in foster care because of her imperfection. Dominic: 2 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 13 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Dominic is a very laid back easy going small min pin boy of about 13 lbs. He is black and rust with natural ears that stick out sort of like Dobbie in Harry Potter with an adorable face and a docked tail. He was rescued from one of the worst cases of animal cruelty - a puppy mill that allowed not only min pins but other breeds of dogs suffer horribly in very bad conditions. Dominic was treated for heartworms but has now had negative readings, so adoptable now. He has really come out of his shell and enjoyed playing with the other dogs as Dominic is pretty shy at first. He still cowers when you go to pick him up, but I think it is more his personality now as opposed to fear and very endearing in my opinion. Dominic would be perfect for a retired couple or a single person that wants a more laid back, but very affectionate little boy and would benefit from a nice yard because he loves the outdoors only when you are out with him. Also, he needs a routine with a stable home environment to feel secure. He is almost always very shy at first, but then becomes very demanding about cuddles and love. He needs ONLY positive reinforcement due to his past and responds really well to it. He sleeps with his foster mom in her bed and only has an open crate with a bed in it that he like to sleep in, so we don't know how he would respond in a closed crate. He is penned as opposed to crated. We tend to think that he would do better in a no very young kid, no-cat home and only with a more laid back dog of like temperment. He does chase the cats when given the opportunity in his foster home but does not attack if he catches them. The reason why we believe no very young kids is because he is very delicate and would not understand children that don't know their boundaries. Dominic is a sweet, loving little guy that reacts to every cuddle and pet.

Snoopy is a 10 year old docked and red boy with natural standing ears. He's got the most precious face and is as affectionate as they come - in fact we call him a 'Velcro'? dog. He will never be a big eater and has remained quite thin I believe in part because he's very active when it is playtime. Food just doesn't seem to interest him much. He loves toys and other active dogs. But the thing he loves most of all is to cuddle with his human. It's hard to believe that he is 10 because there is no gray hair on him, and he's so active. Snoopy's past is that he lived his entire life outdoors until a very dear friend and co-rescuer took him in and ended up adopting this sweet soul. When she passed away, he came to live eventually with me. Snoopy will need a very loving family with probably older kids on up and possibly another dog if the dog is maybe younger and more active but he would be okay as an only dog as he is more a human's dog than a dog's dog. The more hours his humans are at home, the better. Any of our dogs even an older dog like Snoop need some basic obedience training. This is one precious boy.

Jasmine is a chocolate spayed female, microchipped, up on shots, healthy, loving, house trained, does not dig or try to escape. She is 14 inches, 15 lb, 12 years old but not elderly. Loves walks and snuggles and her people. She gets along with other dogs and people. She uses the dog door, loves to get leashed up for a walk, does not demand a lot of attention or time but would happily cuddle in a lap or snuggle near you or take you for a nice walk to keep both healthy.
Jasmine lost her home due to domestic problems, not her fault but her loss. She will be a loyal companion and buddy for her next owner.

Josie is 2½ years old and 20 pounds. She loves people, male and female. She is shy when she first meets you, but warms up slowly. As Josie is a herder by nature, she will nip at your ankles and play rough around smaller dogs, so she needs to be in a home with no small children or small dogs. "Thank you for stopping by and checking me out. I know I'm quite a handsome young man but the best part is I'm also a very well behaved gentleman! I'm not a puppy any more, so I don't do any of that puppy stuff. I loved my family and I thought they loved me. Then, I ended up at a shelter and I have no idea why. I do know that they spent less and less time telling me what a good boy I am, so maybe they just had more important things to do. I had kids to love in my old family so if you have older kids - wow! that would really excite me! I grew up with my kids. I would love a boy or girl of my own to play and run with. (I could probably stand to lose a pound or two..:)
At any rate, they say when one door closes, another one opens and I'm ready for a brand new family to love. I am a very loyal boy and very smart; I've had obedience training! I can sit, wait, down and 'come' (most of the time..:)

"Hey, hey, hey! My name is Petey, but my foster mom calls me Sweetie Petey, Petey Pete, Mr. Pete or Pouncenator. I think Pouncenator sounds super cool, don't you? I was pretty down & out when I first came into rescue because my playmate & longtime friend had passed away while we were waiting to be adopted at the shelter. Prior to coming here he was my only friend after my mom was put into a home. Her family did not want to keep us and that's how we ended up at the shelter. I've lost a lot these last few months, but I'm not giving up hope on finding a new home that will love me forever. My foster mom tells me I'm so funny because I like to bounce around the house like Tiger from Winnie the Poo. "My name is Aggie.......gig 'em! My favorite color is maroon. I hate Longhorns and everything they stand for. I am a black and tan 2 year old girl. I have the sweetest disposition you could ever want. My ears are natural and my tail is un-docked. I am a bit squatty. I think somewhere back in the gene pool, a dachshund snuck in and had his way with my great grandma. I am really cute and funny. I don't bark or dig. My owners left me in the shelter in the College Station area with my new puppies. The puppies were adopted out very quickly. I miss them. So I spend a lot of time gathering all the toys and stuffed animals and arranging them on the dog bed and mothering them. My foster dad says it is very sweet to watch. I am not a needy dog and keep myself occupied most of the time. I do like to be in the same room with my people and keep them in my eyesight. I am not opposed to going to sleep on your lap either. I get along great with other dogs and am not afraid of strange people. My foster dad says I don't have a mean bone in my body. I am getting used to running around in the big back yard and watching squirrels and birds. I am a little under weight, but my foster dad says that will not last long. Adam - "ADOPTION PENDING" is a black minpin mix, mom Mimi is purebred black/rust minpin. Very happy, friendly, playful. Born 5 Nov 2012, expected to be 15-20 lb as adult. He is about 10 lb and 6 inches tall at 12 weeks. He has soft shiny black hair except for a white blaze on his chest and a small white dot on his chin—so you know where to get puppy kisses. Learns quickly, uses dog door, on road of potty trained. Very healthy, robust, intelligent boy. Not aggressive, very nice boy. He observed others, learned dog door with no coaching. Adorable, likes being held, sleeps in a "puppy pile" of his siblings. He was the first born and was in a hurry so came feet first (his foster mom was midwife.)
Natural ears and tail (see AmerVetMedAssoc on docking and cropping). Remember- "motion shows emotion"—you get lots of happy wags with him. Dewclaws removed. He will be microchipped when neutered at about 6 months. Up on shots, delightful boy ready for his own home by 1 Feb.

Barney: "Hello folks, My name is Barney. I am the sweetest cutest little fat dumpling you will ever meet. I am mild mannered and very well behaved. I am only 7 months old!!!! I am ready for my home. He is calm, relaxed but loves walks and play. When all others are yapping to get up long before the sun, he is sleepy and cuddling, willing to let his mom sleep. He knows the way to a tired mom’s heart. He is alert but not barky. He does not try to escape. Very easy to enjoy and love. He is essentially house trained, will learn routine at his new home. Angela was rescued from a shelter and was pregnant and heart worm positive. Her 3 puppies were adopted and she just finished her heart worn treatment. We are happy she survived all of this. Angela is a lap dog who doesn't like being left alone(she will cry and tear stuff up). She is protective of owner and has a problem with snapping if felt threatened. I have a 4 year old that she has snapped at a couple of times but never bit him. She is usually very friendly towards him. She growls at my lab occasionally but other than that they get along great. We are having problems with potty training, but still working on it. She is very loving and loyal and always wants to be near you. She is a little dog who's had a rough life and needs someone to love her and make her feel protected. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy ... She is the one for you!!

"Hello, my name is Lucy. I am a sweet little girl. I stand 9-inches at the withers. I weigh 8 pounds. I am a blonde/red color. I have the sweetest and saddest eyes. I have a docked tail and natural ears. I am currently going through Heartworm treatment and won't be ready for adoption until the end of May. I am worth the wait though.
My story is a sad one. I was a breeder dog, which is a dog used by a back yard breeder to produce litter after litter of puppies. I rarely set foot outside my crate. The feel of grass was new to me. I was rarely given a kind word or a treat or anything to play with. The only thing I did was care for each litter as it came along. Then after 6 weeks the puppies were ripped from me and sold to strangers.
I do not have an aggressive bone in my body, however, I am very shy and nervous about new people. After a few days, I get more confidence and will lie with you and lick you and show affection. Since loud noises and too much activity makes me retreat, homes with loud kids and a lot of chaos are not suitable for me. I am perfect for an older person or a soft spoken single woman. I would do great in an apartment or a home with a small yard since I prefer the inside to the outside. I would be easy to train to use potty pads. I had to relearn potty training because being confined to a crate for so long that I had to use the restroom in the crate because they never let me out. But I am doing great. I will bark if you put me outside and leave me outside after I have done my business but that is pretty much the only time I bark. I only want to be with you. At feeding times, I become very animated and spin around and get very excited. I love to sleep in bed with you and snuggle. I like to love on my person when I wake up in the morning. If you want a sweet shy little girl who likes to sit by you on the couch and love on you, please let me know. My Foster Dad says I am the sweetest saddest slice of Heaven he has ever seen."

Here's Missy! She is 10 yrs young and a very pretty little girl. Her weight is 11lbs and she is 14" tall. She has a cropped tail & natural ears which she holds erect most of the time. Her previous owner passed away & she found herself in a shelter and couldn't possibly understand her circumstances. We rescued her from that shelter and have been giving her the love & attention she craves. If not for the little bit of grey on her you would never know her age. She runs & plays with our much younger fur babies and has no trouble keeping up with them. She is in very good health, current on all shots, microchipped & spayed. She is crate trained but would much rather share a bed with her human. Do you have a place for her in your home where she can live out her life? This could be another 5-6 years or more. BR>Penny is an absolutely adorable little girl. She is a tiny red one, only 6 pounds at the most, with natural ears and a docked tail. She loves to go on walks and loves it when she sees you get her leash! She loves to be with her person anywhere they go and will be on your lap every chance she gets. Penny is a sweet soul that does best in a calm environment. The best forever home for her would be an older couple or single person that has lots of time to love her. She would be good for an apartment. If you do have a backyard, you can never turn your back on her as she is one of the best escape artists we've seen! Update 8/3/11: Teddy is a new man since he had a dental and has had his ear infections treated! He is now MR ENERGY-----bouncing like a kangaroo, and racing around the enclosed yard playing with his doggie buddies. He continues to be Mr Nice Guy, and is a pleasure to have around. Teddy definitely needs a home with a doggie buddy that he can have fun with, and a safely enclosed yard for him to run in at mach speed!
Update 2/2013: Teddy has had a rough year battling a chronic ear infection in his left ear. His ear infections were so neglected for years prior to being rescued that his ear canal completely grew closed with the chronic infection and inflammation. Finally in December 2012 Teddy traveled to Richmond VA where truly wonderful Dr. Pasternak at Helping Hands Surgery Center performed major surgery on his left ear.....Teddy healed fine and today has no more problems with those nasty ear infections. Thank you Dr. Lori AND all the kind folks who donated to allow Teddy to have this surgery he so needed.

"Hi all, I'm Angel. I, just like many of my red brothers and sisters are of course the perfect miniature pinscher (don't let those black/tans fool you, they've got nothing on us!) My foster parents think I am great although occasionally they say my name should be archangel and I am not sure what they are trying to say. I am somewhere around five human years old, but have the energy and attitude of a two year old. I would prefer a furever home with a doggie brother or sister and a bit of a yard to run in. I can't quite get the hang of this "doggie door" thing, I mean come on, what self respecting perfect miniature pinscher wouldn't make her humans open the door for her? I do bark a bit when put in my crate, but settle down pretty quick until you get home then of course i am impatient to see you so bark a bit again. I'm a great snuggler and heat source when you are sleeping."

I love to wrestle with my sister and think I would like having a playmate, but probably not the size of some of the horses they keep in the house here. Not sure what a St Bernard is, but there is no way that is a dog, I mean, come on now, her hooves err I mean paws... are the size of my whole body! She only barks at people at the door, or strangers briefly, and warms up to them quickly. She enjoys having her ears, head, and belly rubbed. She lived in a condo prior to coming to her foster home, so she will go outside to relieve herself in the yard or while being walked on a leash. She would do well with someone who does not work all day, and rides well in the car.

Lola was terrified when her family dropped her off at the shelter because she was too stressed out by their twin 2 year old sons. But after spending a little time in a foster home Lola has let all that fear and anxiety go. Beneath it all is a very sweet, very loving girl. Lola is a quiet and docile Min Pin. She enjoys sunning herself, snuggling on the couch, and getting scratches. She would do best with respectful children over the age of 7. She is potty trained, crate trained, and all-in-all a really good girl. She's a bit of a pudgy pie, I suspect her family didn't take her for many walks, so she could stand to lose a few pounds. Last but not least, she is beautiful!! Her pictures don't do her justice. Once she gets her figure back she is going to be a real stunner!! Lola is currently located in the Appleton/Green Bay area. Litte Man Irvin: 7 yr old chocolate/tan male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 9 lb. Fully vetted.
Irvin was turned into the Humane Society after being found wondering the streets of Wisconsin. When no one claimed him, IMPS came to his rescue. At Just over 7lbs. he was underweight, skin (coat not so good) & bones and only shadows for eyesight his personality shined through his hard times on the streets. Irvin was diagnosed with diabetes, which caused the cataracts and blurs his vision. Now with a bath, a steady diet, 2 shots a day of insulin - Irvin is now 9lbs. (needs to gain a little more weight) and is ready to continue his search for a loveable home.
Irvin loves car & pontoon rides, squeaky toys, walks (good on leash) and has determination to go everywhere in search of his furever home. Make NO mistake about Irvin at 9lbs he is all min-pin attitude, is not bashful at letting you know he needs to go out, when his meals are late and when he wants to play. Loves attention, gets along with other dogs and with only seeing shadows can maneuver around a house in a few days, with his spunky attitude, perky personality and determination to go and do it all his pup sitter has nicked name him "Little Man".

He is shy when first meeting anyone, but will warm up to you in time and then become your clue dog. He is housebroken and crate trained and has just learned how to play with toys. Ziggy would do well in a home with other dogs as he does not like to be alone. Loves to go for car rides, later in the evening he snuggles on the couch at times, but mostly prefers his crate. Falkor: 3-4 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 21 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Falkor is a big guy, but what a baby! He had a very bleak future until he came to IMPS, but now he is a very lucky boy. He is named after the Luck Dragon in "The Neverending Story" because of his long body, happy face, and big puppy-dog eyes. Falkor can be very reserved when he first meets new people and prefers his space. Once he gets to know you and is comfortable he can be very puppy like and jovial. He seems to be doing fine with potty training and has had no accidents or signs of marking. He is crated during the night time and when we are away. He is really a sweet dog who enjoys lovin' & scratches. He is quiet and fairly calm, but because he can be startled by loud noises, quick movements, and new people/things I would not recommend him for a home with children under 10 or for a hectic household. He would really like a house that is on the quiet side where he can relax and get lots of attention. He gets along fine with other dogs and ignores the cat. It is important that his new owner be VERY cautious not to let him get loose or dart out a door. If you don't have a fenced in yard you will need to use a Martingale collar for walks and trips outside to ensure he does not pull out of his regular collar or harness. This gentle giant is looking to find a loving home who will treat him with respect and kindness. Are you the one for him?

Jewel is a sweet-tempered, loving black and tan girl who also knows no strangers - she loves people, stuffed toys and an occasional chewie or bone. She is quiet and content to sit with you to watch TV. Give her a fleece blankie and she'll burrow all night long. She is house trained, leash trained and crate trained. Jewel has shown mild tendency to pester or chase a tiny teacup-sized dog, so we suspect she may not be compatible with tiny dogs or cats. She would do best with older kids/teens. But her loving eyes and wiggle butt leave no doubt she loves people!

What a sweet boy! Scrappy is such a cute little guy that just wants to please you. This guy loves everyone he meets and makes friends everywhere he goes! Scrappy is crate trained, house trained, social and loving but he does have one small flaw. Scrappy has epilepsy. The poor boy has an occasional seizure, so infrequent thathe does not require medication, but sadly some may rule him out because of it. Scrappy sat at the shelter for weeks because no rescue was willing to take him but IMPS is bound and determined to prove them wrong! Are you wiling to show Scrappy that being a little different shouldn't be a death sentence? You can't go wrong with this handsome, loving boy!

Monty - "ADOPTION PENDING": 1 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter.
He was found as a stray with a severely fractured arm and frostbite. (Another reminder that Min Pins should never be left off leash. To always spay and neuter your pets. And to make sure your pets wear a collar with i.d. tag). Monty's owners could not be located so his bad arm was removed, he was neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he is ready to start a new life with a more responsible owner. Though Monty may be missing 25% of his limbs it hasn't slowed him down one bit! He is still a very active Min Pin and if he stumbles he gets right back up and tries again. Monty is very friendly and makes himself right at home. He is on the vocal side. He will bark, growl, or grumble to let you know what he is thinking. He has shown some "lap possession" which we are working on and would best be suited for a home with older children/teens or no children. He has gotten along with the other dogs in his foster home, but doesn't always like to share attention. He has done great with pottying outside as long as he is supervised in the house and let out frequently. He is crated at night and is mostly quiet as long as the rest of the house is quiet. Monty has had a lot to adjust to recently and each day that goes by he becomes calmer and more content. Let's just hope he finds a forever home soon, before he gets too comfortable and has to make another change. Drake: 2 yr old (DOB 7/6/2011) black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 15 lb. Fully vetted.
Drake was with a family who primarily kept him as an outside dog. The conditions there were not good so Animal Control officers took custody of him. Because he was primarily kept outside and not neutered, he was very rusty with potty training when he first came to his foster home. This has improved greatly! With consistency, supervision, and being neutered Drake is rarely having an accident these days, but it is a work in progress. Drake is at a great age. He still has quite a bit of puppy energy and spunk, but also a calmness that comes with some maturity. He will need a lot of the same training a puppy would need, but his attention span is much longer. He will be a quick study I suspect. He very much wants to please. Drake gets along with the other dogs he has met and he ignores the cat. He is very gentle when consciously approaching children, but I would not recommend him for a home with kids under 5 because his goofy energy will get him in trouble with smaller kids. He is fearful and unsure around strangers, especially men. It takes much longer for him to warm up to the man of the house, but it is possible. All in all Drake is a great catch. He is handsome, smart, and the sky is the limit when it comes to all the things he could learn if the right person invests the time and energy into him. Just a note: Drake does have a large scar on his back where the hair will likely not grow back. This was due to an alleged opossum attack last summer. It has healed and causes him no issue other than cosmetically.

Chloe is an adorable girl who's family gave her up because they had small children in the house who were not getting along with Chloe. This girl is very quiet and sweet. She is a great cuddler and has been doing great with potty training. She is also crate trained. She gets along with humans, dogs, and cats but does do some resource guarding which her foster parents are working to correct. She is looking for a family to love and call her own. Peanut, now called Teddy: estimated 6 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Teddy is a cute little fellow who has been down on his luck and needs someone to love him and give him a second chance to have the good life he deserves. He is a handsome little guy who will sit in the typical MinPin stance with his little paw raised to 'shake'. Unlike many Pins, Teddy is very quiet, plus he walks well on a leash. All he wants is a nice couch and blanket to snuggle under while you watch TV or read. If you are looking for a loving little companion Teddy is the perfect choice! Update 8/3/11: Teddy is a new man since he had a dental and has had his ear infections treated! He is now MR ENERGY-----bouncing like a kangaroo, and racing around the enclosed yard playing with his doggie buddies. He continues to be Mr Nice Guy, and is a pleasure to have around. Teddy definitely needs a home with a doggie buddy that he can have fun with, and a safely enclosed yard for him to run in at mach speed!
Update 2/2013: Teddy has had a rough year battling a chronic ear infection in his left ear. His ear infections were so neglected for years prior to being rescued that his ear canal completely grew closed with the chronic infection and inflammation. Finally in December 2012 Teddy traveled to Richmond VA where truly wonderful Dr. Pasternak at Helping Hands Surgery Center performed major surgery on his left ear.....Teddy healed fine and today has no more problems with those nasty ear infections. Thank you Dr. Lori AND all the kind folks who donated to allow Teddy to have this surgery he so needed.

Lucky for me, I got sprung really fast because they are full. So now I am looking for a home that will not dump me EVER again!!

"Hi all, I'm Angel. I, just like many of my red brothers and sisters are of course the perfect miniature pinscher (don't let those black/tans fool you, they've got nothing on us!) My foster parents think I am great although occasionally they say my name should be archangel and I am not sure what they are trying to say. I am somewhere around five human years old, but have the energy and attitude of a two year old. I would prefer a furever home with a doggie brother or sister and a bit of a yard to run in. I can't quite get the hang of this "doggie door" thing, I mean come on, what self respecting perfect miniature pinscher wouldn't make her humans open the door for her? I do bark a bit when put in my crate, but settle down pretty quick until you get home then of course i am impatient to see you so bark a bit again. I'm a great snuggler and heat source when you are sleeping."

"Hi, I'm Max, you might say I am a bit of a "maximum" Min-Pin. My sister was kind enough to let me get the lion's share of mom's milk, so hey I took advantage of it and here I am, a bit of a Rottie looking Min-Pin. Rest assured I am all min-pin though! I love to wrestle with my sister and think I would like having a playmate, but probably not the size of some of the horses they keep in the house here. Not sure what a St Bernard is, but there is no way that is a dog, I mean, come on now, her hooves err I mean paws... are the size of my whole body! Anyway, I'm really looking for a family to welcome me into their homes and hearts as soon as possible (aforementioned horse could step on me!), the two legged critters say I can't go anywhere until the 7th of June, but get your application in soon so I can meet my new family."

Bambi is a large Chocolate Min Pin. She is alert, inquisitive, playful, and obedient. She gets along with other dogs, and learns quickly. She doesn't chew items or dig in the garden. She only barks at people at the door, or strangers briefly, and warms up to them quickly. She enjoys having her ears, head, and belly rubbed. She lived in a condo prior to coming to her foster home, so she will go outside to relieve herself in the yard or while being walked on a leash. She would do well with someone who does not work all day, and rides well in the car.
